Jobs in SLC

Hey.. im gonna be in SLC next winter for school. Just wondering what the job market is like out there these days. I won't have a car or a while so I think working at a mountain is out of the question unless there is good public transportation. So good public transportation from SLC to mountains? and Is it tought to find a job in the city right now?

If you're going to one of the cottonwood resorts there are specific ski buses and there's public buses that go out to PC as well.

right now i'm gonna be honest it sucks, i've been looking for a job for the last 3 weeks and have put in over 40 applications, shit sucks, if you find somewhere that's hiring lemme know, i'll do the same.

make a resume and give it out to a bunch of places every single day. you can get a job here if you're actually trying, as opposed to sitting around complaining how the job market sucks.

You can get a job if you aren't picky. Just remember it's better to get a shitty job for minimum wage and at least have some money coming in then sit at home waiting for a good paying job. I'm only making $8/hr right now. It isn't the best, but it just means I have something coming in while I keep looking for something better.
I work at Marine Products and one of the other parts guys is going to be leaving soon, so they will be looking for someone else to add on. If anyone knows anything about boats you can come in and get an application. I might even be leaving soon too because I am looking for a place to work a swing type shift.

Nothing, maybe he meant to say private? I know that in the winter some places have a work bus. Working the resorts is great, the bus runs most of the season, and when it stops the regular schedule there is an early and late bus for workers. Check craigslist for a job to, just email your resume like crazy. And if you get here around Q4 getting a job at backcountry.com is cake.
