Job Interview

dont look like the stereotypical ns kid with 7 layers of tall tees and 5xl basketball shorts.

Exactly^^ and dont act like you know everything there is to know about snowsports even if you do. Good Luck

sweet job though.

dress well, be yourself, be honest, be polite. Come prepared with your resume and an idea of why you think you'd be good for the job. Try and think of how prior jobs and their experiences will help you with this one. Most importantly, research the company thoroughly, ask questions that show that you took the time to think about the job, and express why it is that you want to work for them.

Just make shure you have good posture, make eye contact, and use appropriate language. If you do that your fine man.

well put. Just do this are you should be golden. When you shake hsi hand, look him in the eye. Dont look away.

that was good advice dont get me wrong.....
but who would actually go to a job interview like this? dont people know how to go to a job interview respectfully and prepared?
tell them what you know, dont sound cocky, but if you know a lot about skiing, then prove it. tell stories of you skiing, your history, try to relate with whoever is interviewing you.
stay calm, be on time, like 10 or 15 minutes early so you arent a second late
dress properly, shirt and tie, freshly bathed, clean shaven, and just look respectful over all. it sounds dumb, but if you smell bad, your chances of getting a job drop a lot.
obviosuly look the person in the eye, firm hand shake, and be willing to talk, and not just all ears. take notes also, it shows your truly interested.
after the job interview, waite a little while and follow up. if you call and mention who you are, asking if there is any news this increases your chances of getting the job by a lot. it shows you want this job, and you are being pro active to get it.

im sure you know most if not all of this, basically a quick interview information for dummies, but i hope atleast some helps. good luck! sounds like an awesome oppurtunity. what position are you applying for?

come up with answers to questions you think they will ask you ahead of time so you are not dumb founded during the interview.

Many people show up to interviews dressed improperly. I think that guy just meant that he look presentable to his potential employer. I agree with the firm handshakes, this turns me off anyone when they don't know how to do them properly. Do what Rainbow said and know the background/history of the company. Also look online for sample interview questions and have a general idea of what how you might answer them. However, you don't want to sound too rehearsed. If at the end of the interview they ask if you have any questions for them...DON'T say no, have at least 2 prepared, one of them maybe being when can I expect to hear from you either way? (whether you get it or not). After your interview is over maybe a follow-up call a few days later to discuss your interview, but that depends on the situation. Just my two cents.

People actually show up like that. I did interviews for my park staff and kids were showing up wearing flat-brim hats, tall tee's, puffy jackets, hoodes with the hood up, and were pulling up their baggy pants as they were walking up. In all honesty, their interviews were over before they even sat down. First impressions are HUGE.
