Job/House in Bend

I'm thinking of moving out to bend to ski and possibly go to school. I applied at Bachelor a month ago but they said they don't hire until November. My friend is moving there in January to live with his aunt and uncle. His uncle works at Bachelor. I can't move unless I have a job lined up but I can't get a job until I move there. Catch 22. I also need a place to live.

If anyone knows of a job and place to rent I'm definitely interested. I have 2 years of experience at a ski hill, 3 building parks, 6 of website and graphic design and I'm a photographer. I can do pretty much anything but would prefer to work in a field where I can actually use some of my brain.
 
That's my problem with finding a job. They unemployment rate is incredibly high. I'm trying to get a friend to go out with me to split the rent so it won't be so hard but he's not sure about anything at the moment.
 
almost an understatement, last i heard the unemployment here was 17% and that was a few months ago. shes right about the housing as well
 
damn, i hope it gets better before i graduate otherwise im headin outta the state. threadjack a little bit but oragejuice, whats your major at osucc?
 
Thanks for the help guys. I know it's hard to tell someone else about a job when everyone there is looking for one. I'm more worried about a place to live.
 
im not 100% sure on the housing market here because im not in the need of it, however, i have been already asked to move in with 2 of my buddies this quarter so that leads me to assume there is housing available.
