Anyone know where a 15 year old could get a job over the summer. I live in Vt, and need money to get gear for skiing. Plus is never hurts to have cash on hand. Any ideas?

bussin tables. best job ever. i get ripped out back everyday, dont do shit but drink soda till like 6, pop som vicoden, clean up some tables and make mad tips.

Since you are into skiing , maybe see if any of your local shops might have something for you to do. It's not the best money, but you get around 20% below wholesale on most things and you might learn some cool stuff and meet some cool people.

i agree. im trying to get a job at my local shop. the people there are cool and i could learn a lot, and get sick deals on stuff.

or just work at a fast food place.

be creative. at 15 like alot of people said fast food is prob your best bet. good vibes amongst coworkers makes up for the shittiness and humiliation that is working in a fast food joint. gold caddy is a pretty good gig to and vt there isnt a shortage of golf courses. go around to roofing compainies house painters etc and ask if they need a gofer or an extra hand. just look as long as your motivated and are able to communicate or convince your would be employer that your a hard worker youl find something.

yo man try to get a job at your school over the summer mine is always looking for summer help like cleaning the school and shit and with renovations yea try there the scholl normally pays over min wage so go to the administration building and ask if they have any summer jobs open

can be hard to get those jobs though..not many positions come up.

But yeah, sick working environment if you like the game

i worked at a marina when i was 15, thats a good job. Those guys are really cool. they all smoke pot and got me drunk by 10am

yah for sure this is the easiest job ever!

i drove around gold carts then sprayed them down and i mad made dollers

supermarket pushing in carts / bagging

easy as fuck

get a friend to apply too, then just chill in the parking lot walking with the person

thats all I do

i dunno what the deal is at your shops but the shops in van will maybe give 20% off retail OR wholesale to their employees, not 20% off wholesale price, since wholesale is the price the store pays for their shit eh

If you live in VT like I do working in a fast food restaurant is dumb. Find a high class restaurant to wash dishes at, more money and respect. Or working at a ski shop is a good place too. These are things you can take anywhere (a place you want to be like next to a ski hill)

word. i worked at a golf course as a caddy when i was 15. you can actually make some pretty good cash with tips.

+whoever said waiter...he's 15, no one's gonna hire him as a waiter at 15. maybe bus boy but i'd rather caddy. you're outside, decent exercise, plus most clubs, at least the ones where i worked, had one morning a week where caddys / staff could golf a round for free, plus the annual caddy tournaments (which i never did, cause i'm horrible at golf).

Uhh you make like 30-40$$ per game... Most times you ref around 4 games a weekend as well... Do the math, i think that comes out to more than 10 dollars?

good, job, but you have to be drinking age if you wait tables somewhere that serves alcohol, which all nice restaurants I've heard of do. washing dishes is really not too bad because it's super easy, just kinda gross sometimes. It's usu. minimum wage but sometimes you get a percentage of the servers' tips, and you can probly walk away with about 3.5 grand at the end of the summer....when I washed dishes thats about what I made. a lot of people I know work at amusement parks and all tehy do all day is sit at the top of a water slide and tell kids when to drop in, so thats an easy job if theres an amusement park near you.

doesnt even have to be a good restaurant. i was a waiter at frischs big boy and cam away with about $10 per hour just in tips most nights. add the $3.43 that the restaurant pays and ur making a solid $12-14 per hour usually. plus u dont have to report all of ur tips so like half of what u make is untaxed

in my hood there is a little pizza place only in oregon called pizzicato, they normally never sign a 15 year old to work, but because i know all of the workers there i can work there when i turn 15

wow same, i work on a lobster boat in the summer. its the easiest thing ever,  u sit, wait for a basket of lobster to fill up, you take the lobsters, band them then put them in the tank. and u try to make it fun like tossing the lobsters into the tank and making them do tricks like back flips. And you make 150 bucks a day

shop form from most ski companies is around 20% off of wholesale, if you work at the shop you go through whichever company you want stuff from. Usually the shop will only give you like 20% off of stuff on the shelves. But yeah thats what I did when I was 15, worked out great, definitely try really hard to get a shop/retail job. Usually pretty easy, decent consistent money, plus all the great benefits like ridiculously cheap gear etc...
