shut up you! what we should be doing is showering activision (creators of tony hawk) to make a freeski game one thats decent in stead of a shitty one made by 3do they could call it seth morrisson pro skier or candide thovex pro skier or summtin like that

What are you saying? Activision? Sure they did a good job on Tony Hawk, that is the best game ever made. But have you ever played Shaun Palmers Pro Snowboarder?... or how about The shitty BMX game they made... Those games are SO BAD!! I heard microsoft was thinking of making a freeskiing game, but if anyone does it should be Idol Minds and 686.. they did a good job with coolboarders 2001 for PS2

whoever made amped for xbox should make it or whoever made winter x games 2002 or whatver for ps2, thos games are sweet cuz u dont have buttons for tricks u have to set the trick and then control it. i think thast better then how like u can only do a rodeo 7 in cool boarders 2001 but in amped u can do like rodeo 5s or rodeo 9s and shit, thats the way it should be i think

Jon Olson mad trix. We won't get anybody else to make a skiing game just from a bunch of junk mail from us regular skiers...We need to talk to 3do and tell them all the friggin ideas we can think of that would make the game exciting and fun and just pour em on. My suggestions are, mike douglas voice for announcing, umm, you can be tanner, vinnie, pollard, cr, jon, candide, etc... Have halfpipe comps for like, WSI, X-games, etc.. and Big air comps same thing, and slopestyle. You should be able to be one of these skiers and do a season instead of doing friggin MEDALS. oo i got gold. woohoo new level! haha, and the skier should progress and u can make him learn new tricks as the season goes on and u go to comps and get sponsored and shit that'd be sick. Make the tricks look slower and crap and have the announcer go wild instead of saying absolutely ludicris. Umm, yeah and stuff like that. everybody just pour on ur ideas and send em in to 3do. they'll make it good next time i bet.

 
um yeah, mat hoffmans bmx is so damn addicting and just plain fun to play, i would die for a skiing game like that

here is what i think we should do... we should get a patition going like the actionsports guy has done, he has already started a thread with link to sign it. then when we send the petition to ALL of the video game companies we can tell them that if they are interested we can give them all of our ideas. this is free market research for them. i think this might actually work.

It should be by the people who made winter X 2002 for ps2, like he said, no set buttons for tricks, you can do any spin with flip you want, they have real names, and It should be called HUCK with tons of guys like AMPED has.

alright, this is what I posted on the petition, tell me what ya think:

Ok, the game need to be a lot more realistic in proportions of people size, mountain size, and most importantly jump size, i hate the stupid games that make all of the jumps so extremely huge that its dumb. The tricks shouldnt be so sketchy and as rigid, they need to be slow and smooth, a nice eralistic game is all I ask. Use pro riders such as Candide Thovex, Jon Olsson, CR Johnson, Philipe Belanger, and Skogen Sprang, etc. Also dont assign tricks to certain buttons, like harder grabs should be harder button combos like a safetuy is one button but a lui-kang is that button plus another and so forth, making a tweak button would be cool too, also be able to control the amount of flip and spin in a trick so you could use more spin for corks and bios and more flip for rodeos and junk like that, also the modes should be as follows, Big Mountain, Terrain Park, Comp Mode and have skiers progress instatus as they go. Also a design your own skier and skis and junk like that for maximum customizability. Just make the game free to rome the mountain, realistic, smooth, stylie, and just plain friggin addicting! This would be a sick game and I would buy it, make it widly advertised cuz newschool skiing is one of he fastest growing sports out there and thats what the kids are doing. Also make it available for all the new generation systems especially gamecube and ps2, the most important consoles. If given time and proper care do look at all the fine details by talking to the actual; pro like listed above than this game would fly off the shelves like hot potatoes (or THPS games) my guarantee.

I think that a good ski game should be made for a computer. I mean,you could use a joystick and all for hucking, the fire controlls for grabs, ect. That would be sweet. Also, a good ski game needs to be not only just a terrian park, but some actuall mountians, like in amped. no courses like SSX.

 
i think it would be sweet if they made like a d dome with ski terrain in all 360 degree directions. It would be like numerous runs side by side. The start of the level could be a heli drop and the end of the cours could be like a cat track

 
i read most of the posts, but i jus wanna bring to everyones attetion that it would take some $$$ to get the licenses to use x games and different atheletes on the game, but i hate bing negative so i say lets start blastin them with petitions and mail.
