Right, im looking for a new fat ski mainly for powder but also to rock on groomers, tree's, park and maybe a bit of bumps! i will mainly be skiing inbounds but get out when i can! looking for a new ski which will do well for me!

been looking at the bacons cause ive heard good things about them and seem to fit what i want! but im also keen on trying a rocker ski and heard the new jj's are awesome all round and will be good for what i want too! but im still unsure! can anyone with experience tell me more about how they perform against each other and what i want! if there is another ski which is suitable throw it in too!

im 5'10ish and 75 kg so i think 175 pounds! very experienced and very aggressive! cheers for you help!

hey dude, the jjs sound sick, but are rails and boxes a big thing for you? if so, look elsewhere because of the brakeable edges. the jjs have rocker, but not the kind that is super soft and big, for jibbing. hellbents are used by some people for park, they have tons of rocker, and are abviously good in pow. the bents are very impracticle for stuff besides pow because they arent MADE for groomers really, and are super heavy. idk what need exacley, just throwing stuff out there you may already know
peace

yea man. appreciate the advice! heard loads of good stuff bout the hell bents but looking for something that will be better on the groomers/ piste. wont be in powder the whole time (after its all tracked out) so dont want the huge rocker! thats why looking at the jj's and bacons as heard there good on piste as well! thanks for the input though

the sfb woulf work out well for you. it's pretty soft, thick edges and if you like fat ski park steeze it'll be dialed.

Ya, this would be my vote. I was looking at exactly the same range of skis as you. I went with the bibby's in the end.

I think the bibby will be a really versatile ski that can hold it's own on groomers whilst really excelling in pow. It is cheaper than the jj by $125. It is described as having medium flex whilst being slightly softer at the tips and tails meaning it can be charged, but also has the subtlety needed for butters and jibbing.

another possibility might be the surface live life or live life 2.. the live life 2 has tip and tail rocker for this year bit more all mountain oriented maybe..

cool, thanks guys! especially the jj pictures really helped! they look sick, pretty all mountain orientated. Bibby pro sound like a cool option but not heard that much about it. so anything else on the bacons, getting off the rocker. just think without the rocker there probably more suitable for resort skiing? or will the other 2 be just as good with the added rocker?

Bacons have a turn radius of 18m which would definitely make them useable for resort skiing. Lots of the reviews I've read has claimed they are easy to handle on groomers and can be taken in the park without too much bother either.

Armada advertise the JJ as having a resort rocker and being able to handle groomed, resort runs impressively well.

Where do you ski? How much deepn snow v. groomers you ski will make a big difference to this. What kind of skiing you want will also affect it.

I wouldn't shy away from the bibbys because you don't think the rocker would be suitable for resort skiing. While i haven't had the chance to ski them myself i've heard several people say they loved skiing the bibbys on groomers, that they can handle speed well even with the rocker. Look into them a little more theres alota threads on here about them and alota kids who have skied em.

i ski places like silver star, whistler, big white, breck! but maybe lucky enough to get a trip to baldface this year! so BC, PNW places! i basically love to ski anything, but powder more than anything, steep runs with powder, trees and then will ski groomers and steeps. when there is no more powder left and till new snow! but i always find bumps so eventually! will have another ski for park so wont matter but always nice just to cruise in and hit a few jumps and rails every now and then. just looking for a fun playful ski to have fun!
defo look more into the bibby's, sound pretty fun!

rails arent important! i would rarely hit them if i got any of the skis! sorry but agree if i did

this SFB/JJ choice is sure a hard one, I have a dream of getting either one for a pow/All mountain ski and I can never decide. I tend to be drawn towards the more high-zoot rocker/double sidecut, so I would probably go for the JJs, especially if more powder is in the mix and your not using them for park at all or very little. They are about the same price I think, and have the same waist width, and the graphics are really cool on both. I would kind of prefer to support Armada though, because Line is owned by K2 so I would support the smaller company. But who knows, maybe by now Armada is in ghe grasp of some mega corporation, but I don't think so.

^^my bad then dude, you probabley know more. that is what armada said when i emailed them tho...
look at the rocker on them on the forum on teton, and armada also says that the 175s weight 9.5 lbs, pruty light right?

Hey dude... just replied to your pm. Get bacons! And ask me anything else you wanna know about them

I actually rode the JJ's a bit last season at my home resort, and they in my opinion are the best ski coming out next year, they ride quite well all mountain, and slay it in the pow, and are the best rockered crud ski I rode at Demo days. if I had to be stuck with one pair of skis for the rest of my life I wouldn't be disappointed in the JJ. the bacon is sick too for sure just didn't rip as hard for my riding type.
