JJ warranty

today i was waxing my jj's after the first day riding them and after i noticed the little piece of base inside the D in ARMADA was curled up from the back on one of the skis. needless to say im fucking right pissed and i need to know if this is an issue that could either be fixed, or covered under warranty by armada, if anyone could offer some insight it would be very greatly appreciated

It's a diecut base with the logo. It probably isnt under warranty because that could have happened from hitting a rock or something. It's not a big deal, put a little bit of epoxy under the lifted piece and clamp it for about a day. It will be fine then, so just wax over it. Or bring it to a shop and have them do it. It's a small easy fix that isn't a problem

and i might add that there was about a 1mm gap in between the black and the orange parts of the base before that i noticed but didnt think too much of

poor baby :(

figure it out on your own. Either send armada an e-mail or fix it yourself. Christ, take some initiative. your "problem" is entirely fixable in your own garage. Just grow a pair and do it

so i did what my intuition told me to do and took them back to the shop. long story short i now have a brand new pair of skis sitting in my garage as we speak. if i attempted a repair by myself and if it fell out again the warranty would have been voided. thanks for the great advice.

yes, please explain why im so fucking stupid. i would like to know because i cannot see what it is you are calling me fucking stupid for, and i perhaps might be less fucking stupid in the future if you point out my fucking stupidity for me.

please

Fuck it, in for a penny, in for a pound. I agree with OP. If pieces of the diecut base are falling off after 1 day, who knows what's going on in the skis construction? Maybe they weren't laid up right, maybe they didn't cook them right, maybe it's a dodgy glue batch. Whatever it is, if my skis were falling apart after a single day, I'd take them back to the shop too. Sure I could do a quick epoxy job but as he said, what if a week later half the ski was delamming and I'd voided the warranty by fucking with them? Sure DIY fixes are good when you have rail damage etc. but when it's a clear manufacturing fault you deserve new skis as the ones you have can't be trusted to not fall apart. So I can't see why everyone is laying into him.
