I have some 175 jj's but i feel they are a bit short. I want to go to the Bent's because not only they are longer, but wider as well. Can anyone tell me any differences in these skis that I may have over looked?

would like to know as well. Also not to thread jack, but im 5 foot 8. 125 pounds, advanced skier...im riding 171 blue steeles this year for park, will 183 atomic bent chetlers be too long?

no, any ski with a tapered and rockered tip and tail will ski incredibly short because the edge contacts are further towards the center of the ski thus making it feel short

how do you ski? if its straightlining bowls at speed, no go for it. otherwise, thats a lot of ski to move in tight trees. its true that rocker makes them feel shorter, but it won't make up for a major size gap. I'm 6 foot and riding 186 bibby's and they feel great. on the other hand, I can't see why companies are making some monstrously wide sticks in short sizes. The 168 CRJ's must look like 2 mini snowboards. at a certain point, if you want a ski of those dimensions, step up to the plate for length as well

There may be used for straight lining any bowls often, as im on the EC. Its more the trips / times we get some snow (rare) ill be using them for. Id prefer to do more tree skiing than anything, but who knows. anytime there will be any sort of fresh ill be on them. Sounds weird, but its more of a long term investment than anything. More of anything when i get offered to ski fresh or go to out west (which i am this year to breck, early march) ill have a pow ski to use.

And to be honest, when i get really bored, ill take them out on jumps just to fuck around...so should i go down the 175 jj or what? Cause i was really hoping to get some bent chetlers...
