i am thinking about starting an optics company... goggles that cater strictly to the newschooler, but i need your help and imput for what the newschooler desires. know what im saying?

Newschoolers desire Smith Fuses and Oakley A-frames.

Seriously though, how does a newschooler's goggle needs differ from any other skier's goggle needs?

The market is too small to just appeal to newschool skiing. If you focus it on this it's great, just don't look for making any money.

thats what i am asking you people, if you could wear any goggle, would it be the A frame, or wisdom or fuse...or could they be a little better. And no, i dont think the market it too small to cater to a newschool clientel. i mean, think of how far newschool skiing has come in the past two years. we hardly knew what a dinner roll was in the 2002 olympics, now we know its a simple cork 7. but at any rate, this is a revolution and its just gonna keep getting bigger and bigger. however, mabe oakley A-frames or smith fuses are the sweetest fucking goggles ever, and i am just wasting my time.

Your looking at entering a market like you said that is already dominated by the Oakley, Scott, and Smiths...It'd be hard to even get it going. But hey if you have the financial support go for it. I'd definently look into buying a googles specificaly for skiiers, just make it better than the others.

ya man, there is really no point, ull be crushed by oakley and other brands

get brighter colors. i have neon green Spys now because bright colors rule. you also need to make goggles that are helmet compatable, but not dorky. they need to have pretty good prehipheral (sp) vision and need to scream 'I kick ass'

oh yeah, they need to be reasonably priced too
