Jiminy Peak?!

I was skimming through Skiing magazine in the library after school today and a featured mtn in the northeast was Jiminy f***in peak in Ma. They said that what it lacked in height it made up for in lift speed and run quality, WTF?

 
ya they have a six prson chairlift there and its supposed to be super fast, I wouldn't say that their runs make up for their lack of height but they aren't that bad

i work there, and i was there on opening saturday.

the 6pack lift is FAST. and the new park is supposed to be sick, but i'm taking a wait and see approach on that.

ummmm, sick. (i'm 90% sure of this, but i COULD still be wrong...) --> they've hired a top park designer to consult on the new park. (i want to say he helped @ stratton, but i'm not sure)

and, they physically dug in a pipe, so it'll require less snow, and less work to keep good. in other words, the coyote ridge park is going to be off the hook!

then there's still going to be the park in the same place from last year, and the little rail park by the triple, for a combo of 3 total parks!

If im gonna drive an hour i would rather just make it another half and go to snow. Jiminy spent a lot of money on that lift, its just a shame it doesnt service decent terrain. Maybe they can get a good rep from the new park this winter though.

Skiing is all im good at. :-(
 
^ hahaha, run the woods inbetween the trails, that's the decent terrain. don't tell patrol i told you so though...........
