Jiberish Spring/Summer '13

I actually thought what he said was perfect. I hate when people say Jiberish is a "skiing brand" or get mad at the company for doing what they do best.

I don't think they're pretending it was their plan all along. Drago always says that he makes what appeals to him, and over the years his tastes have changed and will continue to change. They still sponsor skiers and even release dope edits. I'm sure Drago would have no problem saying "We used to be a skiing brand but now we're not." I wasn't denying that they ever were (even back then they weren't 100% skiing). I just think they're doing what they like with clothing and personally I even like it more. If I didn't, I wouldn't buy it. But I also wouldn't get mad and say dumb shit like "Jiberish is ignoring their roots."

for streetwear defintely an XL or XXL for a slightly longer fit.

actually get the XXL. thatll fit just fine i think

i had a XXL and it was just past my zipper on my jeans so a little long

im the same weight and a little over 6'3", i have a 2xl from this year and an xl from 2011 and theyre both like the same size. maybe even a 3xl if you want it to be big cause the new stuff is a bit smaller

after seeing that I can say that the floral stuff doesn't look as ugly as I first thought. With that said, I wouldn't buy it still but it does look nice

Jiberish's strongest roots will always be in skiing from a marketing standpoint but to call a lifestyle clothing company a 'ski brand' just doesn't make sense.

We even mention in the article that we feel we are a 'marketing and branding company' above being a 'clothing company.' Again, we do cringe when someone tries to define us. I think the Evan and the article did a good job of covering that, and even mentioned our most loyal following is skiers. Evan, who wrote this, is a skier himself and has followed the brand for a long time.

The Jiberish brand is about community and common ground, everyone on Newschoolers shares skiing. That said all of our athletes, artists and family have other interest that tie into Jiberish and influence the brand. Skiing, art, music, skate, snowboarding, wine, streetwear, food, the list could go on and on. We will never try to be something we are not but we will always incorporate aspects of our lives into this brand.

Tom Wallsich skis yes, but he also likes to listen to music, eat food, snowboard sometimes, skate, etc. Is his biggest focus on skiing, yes. I would say Jiberish is very much the same. Our marketing focuses on our team of athletes and the vast majority of our team are skiiers.

I love to see the dialogue around the article though, Pete, Dave and I hate to do interviews because you leave it all up to how the writer wants to tell the story and that requires a great deal of trust. We had 100% trust in Evan based on his skiing roots, interest in the brand and think he did Jiberish proud.

Just a little more insight into how we think about the topics discussed, didn't want to interrupt discussion but hope this helps clarify.

they used to sponsor him (dont know about now because i dont really know what hes doing) so i wouldnt be surprised if he still had close ties to the company

got my stuff a couple days ago. The camo brim hat is dope and fits really well, the tanks are on point, and t-shirt fit is significantly improved.

Tees are to big IMO, wish I would have gone M not L. Really dope stuff though, love my black rose and white/teal striped shirts

got my hat yesterday andddddd THE FIT FUCKING SUCKS. rage. i have a big head and it doesnt fit at all wont even stay on my head forwards or backwards. fits similar to a starter, which also dont mix well with big headed people like myself. luckily a friend is buying it but i wish they would put some sort of sizing or fit info for hats on the site

Did you get the script one? Because I got the maroon and camo one and it also fits so incredibly small

Yeah I have a 7 1/8 head and I have to wear it 2 snaps larger than the snaps being even if that makes any sense

Oh yeah they are definitely small that way too. I just was thinking since he has a big head it would look weird being so small circumference wise. Just not a good fit all around

Get boards is legit. The pinswipes wasn't exactly an "insta-cop" for everybody so i imagine that it didn't sell too well leading it to be on such a sale price

oh aight thanks man

also, selling a brand new grey/ navy script hat it was too small so never worn for $40 shipped, which is less than it would cost to buy on the website

I am so stoked for the Jiberish f/w 13 line. every preview they have put on facebook looks incredible. sooo excited for the woolrich collab!
