The simplest way is with a program called FRAPS. This will create a video file but requires a decent computer. You can reduce the resolution, tree count and camera distance to make it run smoother.
There is also a built in playback component as of V1.01. F1 to record, F4 to Play back, F9 to save, F12 to load.
To stop recording or playback press Backspace
