Jiberish changing up the skiing outerwear game

Like what? what should they be doing that is more original than what they are doing?

They'd get criticized if they just did what ever other brand is already doing which is staying stagnant and boring. If they made what Saga or Picture or any of the other brands fighting it out in the freeride outerwear realm they'd be generic and predictable. They'd get murdered on NS for not doing something unique. So they do something different and unique and come out of the gates swinging and that is not creative enough? No one in the entire industry has ever done anything like this. Sure people try to take streetwear elements and bring them to snow. But this is actual streetwear and it can be worn on snow. Not to mention it stands on it's own as cool shit even without the tech elements.

All of fashion is a derivative of something else and this is a cool fucking derivative of street fashion but with technical functionality. This is not following a trend, this is making their own trend and every brand in the industry will copy them, as they always do. Good for them for pushing the boundaries once again and not accepting what is currently being offered. That is at the essence of creativity.

My thoughts exactly. Did they really just HAVE to put a fix bike in that video too?

And to people saying they're doing something new and innovative, Cappel has tried to imply streetwear style in their technical outerwear, but as of 2013-> have reverted back to a bit more mountain oriented clothing. Im thinking mostly because the market for tech, waterproof and expensive as hell clothing just isn't big enough.

I love what they're doing and will predict that I'll certainly buy it, but I won't wear it skiing. What I will wear skiing is something I'm prepared to rip and destroy, whatever I buy from jiberish would not be something I want to wreck. But, perhaps this is what they're going for. Clothing that is nice enough to wear around but durable enough to wear in the unforgiving terrain park. And to all the people complaining that jiberish is "hipster" they've been "hipster" for a while now so get used to it and turn elsewhere for more hiphop influenced clothing. They've obviously not been exclusively catering to that market for a while now.

Not really feeling it actually wearing it skiing but it definitely looks like something I would wear out and about. Probably will be retardedly expensive though..

honestly i think that jiberish's shit is going down hill. the sizing has gotten smaller and its turning more into trending hipster bullshit. OG jiberish for the win. plus it is astronomically overpriced. they are releasing sweatpants soon and i would bet that they are like 80 bucks. for fucking sweatpants. not worth it

i agree with you except the sweatpants. people are willing to spend 100s or even thousands on jeans so 80 for sweatpants isn't so bad, if they're really nice sweatpants. maybe there's just a special place in my heart for sweats

i cant wait to see groups of 13 year old park rats rolling through the park in pea coats. Ill be sticking to saga, bloom, ect. for my outerwear, but would probably pick some of this up for off the mountain

Would never wear this on the mountain. I have seen people wearing pecoats and they are legitimately always gapers. That being said I would wear this on the streets probably

Why would people wear this off the hill? Just buy regular peacoats / casual jackets, not ones that are technical. You'll be like the kids who use Heli Pro's as their school backpacks just to look cool.

But heli pro backpacks hold a lot of shit and why buy two backpacks for the hill/school those people may just be being economical.

Also you know what looked fucking stupid on the slopes? Boonie hats, then henrick wears one and everyone has them. Let someone like Jossi or Delorm rock this in one edit and all of you will to.

Suck a fucking but you fags

I bet its not a far cry to call 95% of NS hypocrites because like others said, you think its dumb now, but wait until a role model for the industry rocks one and all of you previously butthurt fanboys will be flocking to buy this. I personally think this is sick and would rock one of those peacoats if it fit correctly. Those things look dope as all hell and I can't beleive that people are actually hating on something innovative
