Jibbing Fridges

I have an oppertunity to get a bunch of old fridges..there is this appliance placxe like half a block away from my house and there are a bunch of old fridges just sitting outside. So im thinking about taking them and setting them up to jib, they look like they could be a blast.

But, someone brought up the fact about if you put them on there side the Freeon liquid might leak out if the fridge. And that stuff aint cool.

Anyone know if this is true? Do they even use that shit in fridges anymore? Can you drain it?

They used to use it, and in a old fridge it may leak. Thats a risk you would have to take.

dont worry dude, its super fun to line up a whole bunch of fridges and slide em, the risk is outweighed

I think it was Bear Mountain used to have a Junkyard park, full of shit like that. I doubt you'd have a big problem with that freeon stuff, because I've known people who've done fridge jibs. And if they're free, why not?

They had that as a set up in a rail jam in sun river oregon. The only problem is everyone got caught edge since they put like 4 together.

if they are just sitting outside with no plans of selling then the freeon should have been already pumped out. the problem is if they aren't meant to be sold again then law constitutes that the doors must be taken off to prevent children from making forts out of them, subsequently leading to makeshift coffins. if you can still get the doors then great.

or you can just lay the fridge on its side...

im thinking that you want to make a table out of them or something..

yeah we were throwing out our old busted fridge, and i decided to keep it and jib it and it's pretty sweet, but also pretty short. It slides really well though. Also i have no problem with the drainage thingy

yea im gonna try to get a couple. we will see.

I think im gonna set one up higher and have the other one at an angle down rather then trying to put them straight and close together, that way you can't get snaged up on the gap...

making a stall would be sweet too. My backyard is pretty small, and getting the fridges is gonna be interesting (transportation wise) as i have no wheels, and don't know anyone with a truck.

Hopefully it'll work out.
