Jib specific ski

How about a ski with a titanium plate right under your foot for grinding rails with minimal damage done to the ski. And how about a warranty that covers the ski even if its used on rails.

What do you think?

not so sure about the titanium grind plate.....but a warranty that covers rail use would be nothing less than a dream come true.

I think the concept is good but by fusing a plate in the middle of the base, you would make the ski a lot weaker and change the flex of the ski. maybe have the edges connected directly into the plate as the same unit

My buddy came across a pair of test skis by line last season that tried to integrate this idea. The problem was that the base wanted to delam at the interface with the plate, so did the edges.

no, rossi pow air grinds just had a 3rd edge in the middle, this kid is talking about a plate that takes up the whole base under foot (unless im mistaken)

Hey I could come up with some decent engineered drawings if it's worth it. Send it to companies around. I didn't think through the whole idea yet.

Like how would that effect the flex pattern of the ski nor how to actually integrate the plate in to the ski.

i would be willing to bet that there will never be a ski with a warrenty (sp?) that covers rails...companies would be giving out free skis so often it would put them out of business

skiing is for little fat kids

ya, rail damage is something that we are all going to have to learn to live with, they will never warrenty skis for that

yeah seriously they dont have a warrant on skateboards.. and they get trashed quicker then anything.
