Jib skis

it all depends on what you like to ride soft or stiffer skis it aslo depends on the company that you are looking at like line, armada, dynastar,... there are a buch of things to choose from and it is mostly depends on personal prefenece
 
yeah im def into a softer ski that you can butter around on and what not but i also want a really quality ski that can take a beating.
 
Price and durability are my only real concerns for my jib skis. My "jib skis" being used for 80% rails, 10% kickers, 10% crusing. Currently those are ex-demo Silencers I got for $150 and sold the demo bindings for $80.
 
silencers = an all mountain ski.

you want to look park specific if you want the jibbing style. the invader would be nice, but the anthem would be better IMO simply because it's fatter and I like fat skis!
 
i love my jibs. the skis are pretty comparible though structurly (minus capped vs. core, butter zones). After a few days the jibs mellow out and they aren't the stiff ski that you might hear that they are. the guys at moment posted that that waspart of the design. The invaders are still softer though, I've had nothing close to a washout on my jibs. Another thign to look at is the 82 vs. 86 waist, believe it or not, a difference can be felt between them. if your wallet is also in question you need to look at the 299 vs. 420(yeah i know 420, you have to buy it, rastas played) dollars. i'm not sure how the line bases/topsheets are holding up this year but the moment base is seriously in a league of its own while the topsheet is a ruffing out around the outside on places where i've banged my skis together but the becasue of how its constructed it will not cause water to get into the core.
 
id say the line anthems or line invaders are a good choice anyhting line to be onest is the way to go
 
reno jibs are a stiff ski while invaders are soft. it isnt a question of which one is better here, rather do you want a stiff ski or do you want a soft ski. stiff = good for hitting big features and not washing out. soft = good for dicking around on, butters, presses, and a bit more forgiving. i would say that the fun factor on a soft ski is deffintly higher in terms of all mountain but stiff skis are better on big jumps.

ive never ridden invaders but i had a pair of reno jibs, they are very light and very poppy but they broke in 6 days which sucked..
 
yo guys just got back from a good new years eve. after reading everything that all of you have said heres what ive got...

reno jibs- sick ski but break easy

line invaders-soft skis

k2 skis-more of all mountain

so it seems like all of these arent right for what i want. im 5"8 and 138 lbs and i want a park ski that can do everything like the rails, jumps,powder and they gotta be soft so i can dick around on them.

that being said whats good???
