Jib-life

never a release date set so uhh.... your guess is as good as anyone elses. hopefully sometime in the near future though

probably never, but hey you can already buy some shirts and stuff so maybee spend on that so that you have something

It's been "in development" for over 9 years...
Sponsors and companies (and their logos that graced the Jib-Life homepage) that at one time were associated with the game have disappeared. The developer's journal/blog and updates about the progress have gone silent...I'd say that it's a good bet that this project is on it's way to being shelved for good.
If I'm wrong and there is a small, underfunded, underskilled, yet passionate, group at work on a build, the fact is that it's steadily become a less and less ambitious project, and at this point, I'd be amazed to see something approaching Jibbin' quality.
Not exactly in the league of a console game that drawls heavily on EA's Skate engine that we've all been waiting on since '07.

Do you think it's fair to draw conclusions based on the simplification of a website?
I work with Ben, the guy making Jib-Life. He spends most of his day on Skype talking with his team and organizing, only to go home and work on it more. The game is very real and much farther along than most of us would think.
As far as publicly available information on the game, myself as well as a number of other people told Ben to hold back on releasing too much information because the game will generate too much hype, too many expectations, and no matter what happens when it's released, people won't like it due to a fantasy they've got built up in their head.
Join their Facebook Fan page here if you want updates. Jib-Life has moved to facebook so you can get up to date information when you login to facebook, rather than going to their site. It's a lot easier for most people that way.http://www.facebook.com/pages/Jib-Life/105409532824863?ref=ts

^ Sorry man. Didn't mean to come off like a dick. There was just way too much speculation in what you wrote.
Ben made a bad marketing move by publicizing so much in the beginning. He's ridiculously good at what he does, but still learning the business aspect. We all need to learn through experiences.
