i would ride bmx if 1. i wasn't ginournously tall and 2. i can ride anywhere comfortably on the same bike that i use for urban (i.e. 30 mile road rides or 10 mile rides through the woods). i'd like to see a bmxer ride 30 miles
^ Now that's dedication. And for the guy who said BMX if you are into street...you don't know what you are talking about. Urban biking isn't the exact same as BMXing.
Jib was so lame, I can't even comprehend how much I didn't like it. The only neat part about it was that a little bit of it was filmed in my city, but other than that, I wasn't to incredibally stoked on seeing Tyler Klassen ride in the city with an Ellement Dare. I also wasn't particualarily fond with V-dub riding backwards without pedalling, I didn't like the fact that he rode mountain bikes at 403 (indoor skatepark in Calgary), and I didn't like the fact that he wore "D3's".

Trying is the first step towards failure
urban mtb and bmx are so similar! Urban mountain bikes are basically a big bmx; 13" frames, 24" wheels, 80mm forks, single speed, bmx components, and now there are nutted disc hubs that can accept pegs. Urban is a mix of both mountain and bmx.
first of all, i ride primarily street on my bike and it has 26 inch wheels, 8 speed (dual bash with chain tensionr in front), 5 inche travel fork, definatly not bmx components. the bike you described is more a park mtn bike. urban has evolved from bmx. they are different sports, but its the same way that newschool skiing evolved from snowboarding
I think Urban biking is a silly concept. Just my opinion, I just think its quite laughable really. I like dirt better than street. God made dirt so dirt dont hurt.
