Big Boulder is holding up very well and they are continuing to expand and put in more features and it was cold enough to blow saturday night.

So in spite of all this weather there is one place that is making it through. The best news is that the weather reports look great for more snow to be blown this week at night. They already have a base down so it is just going to get that much better.

Most of the slopes in our area are going to have trouble because the warm weather has warmed the ground so much that if there is not coverage now they are going to have hard time establishing a base.

The two jumps on Merry widow were tweaked last night and they blew some more snow last night. Good possibility that the big park will be open next weekend with 2 big table and lots of new jibs. When the Big Park opens, Merry widow will get changed again. Expect that the parks will get rearranged on a weekly basis.

BB was real nice Saturday. At least, their smaller park was A LOT of fun. The bigger features were not hit by me, but one of my friends who did hit them said they were absolutely some of the worst features he has ever hit. They stuck and there're dings and chunks of metal taken out of some of the main park features (especially that one street style at the top of the park). But the smaller park is in great condition. It's hard to get enough speed to hit some of the features by the end of the run, but it works.

Interesting how different people come up with different experiences. The big park is thier intermediate park, yeah there were speed issues but that was to be expected with the spring conditions. It took nips a while to find the drop in point. The new paint is wearing off and with the warm paint, warm p-tex things are going to get sticky.

OH! from a reputable source who was at Killington then stopped in at BB, Big Boulder is set up better than Killington right now. Check it out!!!

Looks like a little bit of snowmaking last night, and then 2 more nights are coming. Unfortunately it doesn’t look like the cold is really going to set in until next week. A few good nights of snowmaking will do them wonders.

Look for the jumps on Merry Widow to change a little bit. they agreed with Nipples that the location of the first jump was not ideal, and with a little bit of snowmaking they will be able to move it down the hill a bit (creating a bit more flow). Once they are able to open Boulder park, Merry Widow will change a lot. The top windy section sets up great for 2 BIG hip jumps.

Im not sure what the big deal is... both me and Dan had no issues with getting enough speed for the jumps, but that was sun night, I think BB is doing a fantastic job my only issue is that I think they need to wax up the rails that are on the sides of the boxes in the smaller park every once in a while cause me and dan kept sticking on them when we were doing pretzel tricks out

jumps on merrywidow were fine monday night. trev and i had no problems clearing them whatsoever. my guess is nips just doesnt have the weight to carry speed through flatter sections right before the jump? i thought stuff was set up much better in the small park than merrywidow, besides the jumps. the only rail i liked in on merrywidow was the flat box before the first hit. the handrail up top, to me, felt like the lip was at an awkward in between. it should have either been closer and smaller and been street style, or have been farther away so you would have more time to set up for the rail as a gap on.

good points justo, yeah nips wears freakin parachutes IMO. I think because he is so light he doesn't have as many issues with friction/sticking futhermore, everything is a huck for him to get on these rails and boxes.. LOL!!! Thanks for the feedback. when is your next trip up? Have you mgmt yet? They will want to hear your input. could I ask for it to copied and pasted into the BB cult?
