Jettas

if the water pump hasnt gone yet then it will soon, the blades in the water pump that circulate the coolant are made from plastic which melts at the temperature the car runs as, which is 190 farenheight, so if your car starts overheating you will know what is up, i just had to get mine replaced in my 01 1.8T at 120k miles

sell the tail lights, and get some smoked fks headlights, and smoked fks tail lights, get a kamei badgeless grill, debadge it too

black them out.

but since street racing is quite popular in CT don't make yourself look to conspicuous.

i wanna buy this 04 jetta for around 8 gs with 70k on it. jettas are sick cars, really quick and fun to handle. reliability is pretty good, but its all about how you take car of your car aka oil change, little shit adds up. I like that one a lot and you can make that shit look super sick ima tint that all out, and get a new debadged grill and throw some rims on that shit. you gota ill whip.

yeah they are great cars. my brother has a 99 and he drives the thing like its a goddamn F1 racecar and there is only one or two minor things wrong with it. so yeah look into a jetta, great cars.

My buddy has a 97 Jetta VR6 with lots of work done to it, its a pretty sick little car. My MkV GTI pulls on it, but it pulls on MkIV GTI's pretty good. I've driven a stock one too and it ws stll pretty fun to drive.

Mk2 Mk3 and Mk4 are all pretty much fail though because all GTI's were slower than the MK1 until the Mk5 came out.

So Chris did you buy a VR6 GLI? Or the 1.8T?

unless it is something like this

90s jettas moded out are pretty rad IMO

Thats only got lowering springs, a ground effects kit, a different grill, and some fly ass rims as well. You could skip the grill swap, black out the logo, get even better rims (those are sick but only look like 15"), and probably make it look like that for 2 G's-ish.

My GTI is still stock but if and when I decide I'm going to buy out the lease, def going to chip it, TT exhaust, neuspeed intake, flat black grill, black/red logo's, 20th anniversery GTI badges, a boost gauge, and lowering springs. And maybe strut bars, but it doesn't really need them IMO.

Then I'll be running 260hp and having torque steer/understeer problems just like people with Mazda Speed 3's! Yay!

hahaha it amazes me that people think VW's are actually good... they are not they are crap, I mean they are nice and all but in terms of reliability, crap. All german cars are good only if you have tons of cash, bmw's, audi's, VW ect. all break down and cost tons to get fixed I know so many people that bought like a nice jetta for like 5 grand and almost right away had to put like 2 grand into it to make it run for a few months before they had to choose between another 2 grand or just getting rid ofit.

hmmmm depends on how much money you can spend, jetta's are good car's but nothing special, if i were you i would look at e30 bmw's, (the mid 80's to early 90's 3 series) you can get such nice examples for so little money, and they are tanks, they run forever. an e30 325is will outhandle most new bmw's and its still pretty damn fast compared to most cars out there. you can find a nice good running example for 2-3 grand. for around 6-8 grand you can get ones with an engine swap, or just in extremely great condition, and they will usually have tons of suspension work too. for 10- low teens, you can find one that will out handle and out accelerate a newer m3 and still be reliable. if you want awd (though a good set of snow tires will be fine for 2wd) look at the e30 325ix, it outperformed the nicest audi's and subaru's of the same era, and it looks amazing.
people dont understand how good of a car you can get for super cheap, if you know where to look and what to look for its crazy how good of cars you can find.
also look at subaru 2.5rs's for around 8 grand you can find super nice examples, the early 2000's legacy gt's and gt wagons are also awesome cars. if you want help or links just email me.

not all, old vw's are amazing, i drove a pretty built mk1 rabbit and it was like a little go-kart, the older gti's and jetta's are super sick too. some of the newer ones are ok, i test drove an 06 or 07 jetta and the steering felt really numb, it had alot of body roll, and overall was just a really lifeless car. the new and old r32's are sick. and the 1.8t was a great engine when they used it. the new turbo diesel jettas are awesome tho. i dont know its kinda hit or miss with VW.

i had a 2002 1.8 T if i was really lucky i would get 650km/ tank all highway. I think it worked out to average 10L/ 100km. 8 on highway.

vw has made plenty of awd cars... starting with the golf rallye (not sold here) and they have made jetta's and other cars with awd since the late 90's
