Jethro Tull

That just reminded me, it's the right time of the year to break the jethro tull christmas album out and listen to it

excellent stuff. locomotive breath is awesome, as well as aqualung (obviously.). their entire aqualung album is pretty much amazing.

he invented it during the agricultural revolution... although influnenced by the enlightenment.

Ian Anderson=Crazy, grungy, creepy, weird guy

But jethro tull is the shit, and it makes me laugh when he does his little flute tricks......or poses i guess

Jethro Tull is one of the 3 greatest bands ever to exist. Ian Anderson is both a musical and lyrical genious: he writes amazing music and performs it wonderfully. Martin Barre is a graverly underrated musician... Most of their albums from the 1969-1979 period are masterpieces (Stand Up, Benefit, Aqualung, THICK AS A FUCKING BRICK, Minstrel in the Gallery, Songs from the Wood and Heavy Horses).

Last thing; Thick as a Brick is just mind-blowing. Buy it now and understand the power of flute.

i consider the flute more of a musical instrament then say a synthasizer.. but yeah i downloaded live at madison squarre in 78... and the opening is a 22 min of thick as a brick... holy shit..... scots are crazy...
