"jesus" die cut.

hes catholic. A lot of catholics accept jesus as their lord and savior but dont live their lives around him. Such as they party and what not.

That's because that person would obviously be doing that just to piss people off. There's a difference between expressing your beliefs and expressing your disbeliefs.

that's quite a compelling argument -- tell me, when a person displays their belief in say Christ, how are they not at the same time displaying their disbelief in Mohammad or Ullr.

both the Christ sticker and the Atheist sticker say 'this is what i think' and 'i think it's worth me making you aware of this'

just because you get pissed off at the latter doesn't mean that's why it's on display -- the person sporting the stickers either way can do so with the exact same intentions.

Don't act like you know me. You have no idea. I've seen and experienced a lot, and 90% of my life was spent outside the cozy U.S. in places like India and Saudi Arabia and Mexico. But no, you're the only one who knows about other cultures and religions, because you're special. And you know what? You deserve a fucking medal for being such an ignorant fuck in spite of spending time "outside the cozy US".
Newsflash! Going somewhere is not the same as living somewhere!!! Maybe live in a militant Islamic state for more than I did (let's say 7 years?) and see if you come back with the same superior privileged white-peace loving attitude you've got now. I don't know. Maybe have a gun pointed at your face because you follow a different religion. Maybe you'll even get robbed!

Also...
You're a fucking idiot if you think reggae and reggaeton is a rasta rite, and it shows just how ignorant you are.

I never acted like I knew you, but I now know that you are about as mature as a 10 year old. And I know that living outside the US is different than visiting, which is why I said I "lived" not "went on vacation".

Medal to you for living in an Islamic state for 7 years, the guy who lives 6 feet from me grew up in Iran and thinks you're a fool as well. He's 26, so I guess that's a bit of time.

My mother was attacked and had her purse stolen for being what they described as a "Jesus loving beaner". Thanks for bringing that up, I can relate.

Rasta music that praises "Jah" is in fact about "Jah". How can you argue that?

Why do you keep accusing me of being ignorant and blowing yourself up as something that should impress me? You don't impress me, I go to a school with people from all over the world and I have had the privilege of obtaining a pretty diverse understanding of religion over the years. I shouldn't have to prove my credibility to an obvious fool, but I didn't feel like I could let that go since 90% of it wasn't true at all.

You're obviously way smarter than me so let's see what your next excuse for telling me my opinion is wrong is.

A) You did by assuming that I never left the US, and did so with such a fucking attitude that it begged for me to reply the way I did.
B) I'm curious to know why the Iranian guy in your room doesn't agree that religious practices (once again, not beliefs dumbass)should be banned from society. Either he's in WAY too much denial or he's never bothered to think about it.
C) There's no such thing as rasta music. You said reggae/rasta. The only thing RASTA about REGGAE is that RASTAS like REGGAE. It's not the same you fucking cock. Rasta ideology can be introduced into any genre. Once again, ignorant white-boy who thinks all of Jamaica belongs to the Rastas.
D) Your mother is a Jesus-loving beaner, and a terrible parent.
I'm sure your proper grammatical structure and syntax may make you feel superior, but it's the content that counts. Judging by how you have absolutely NO personal experiences to draw from, I'd say you never really actually lived outside the American compounds, neighborhoods and army-guarded bases. And I know I'm right.

Oh, and don't bother replying. I'm not going to read it. Anyone who feels like they have to write aggressively on the internet doesn't have much to say, so go ahead, substitute intelligence with "fuck". You've taken this to a whole new level of blind accusations and unrelated aggression.

I wouldn't say that it was wrong to have that sticker on their if you are a christian. To those saying that telling other's of Christ's love is not what christians should be doing, would you not try and tell others of something which has changed and which you believe is real. I became a christian about 2 years ago, I DONT think that a JESUS sticker is going to be the most effective way of telling people about Christ.

The bible says that the fruit of the spirit (I.e. how those who follow christ should act) is with: Love, peace, patience, kindness, self-control, joy etc and that those who are not like you should ONLY be shown LOVE. Those who are not doing this, but who are ramming a belief down somebodies neck may not actually know Jesus because they do not live with him in their heart.

Jesus IS love, and if a sticker does not represent this, given the presupposition that it should, then it should not be worn. But if it sparks discussion and Jesus is talked about, albeit in a loving way then there is no problem.

The issue it seems in this thread is that there are many people who get offended by it, or see it as irrelevant and therefore wish for it to be removed. A true christian is tolerant and not judgemental, loving and not arrogant, and kind, not dismissive.

Love to all of you guys in this discussion :-) :-)

Bull shit, Salem witch trials? The crusades? Christians are actually some of the worst offenders. just stating a fact. Make sure you know what you are talking about before you post. I would love to get a Jesus diecut.

stop saying religion is like an imaginary friend. that argument came right out 4chan. it's has absolutely no logical basis behind it. leave ns and let this thread die.

No, the logical argument behind imaginary friends/god not existing is much stronger than the any type of argument for the existence of a god/spaghetti monster

YOu are an idiot. There are 2, count them, 2 liberals in my family. They are christians and attend church. you are a mo-ron. Liberalism in America, not in the sense of politics but in the sense of liberty, was founded in great part due to Christianity. And why the fuck are you offended by someone else's religion. Who gives a shit? It's their right, you don't have to adhere to it. Individual rights, they can put a jesus sticker on their ski. The fact that it would piss you off is hilarious. Most people wouldn't think twice of it.

Cannibalism is an entire way of life, being racist is an entire way of life, killing an another tribe because you don't like them is a way of life.

If it isn't already apparent, I oppose the practice of religion affecting other's lives. Faith is great and all that.
But I don't see how your Liberal family members can be both Liberals and Christians. They are contradictory ideologies. How can you politically say that you are for civil rights when you follow a faith that warrants the stoning and persecution of certain people because of who they are or how they were born? That's what I'm getting at.
And it's fine if they do happen to follow that path... I just think that the church they belong to will never be able to reconcile their viewpoints, and one of their perspectives is going to have to suffer for them to be able to keep them at the same time. They must either be a good Liberal, or a good Christian. There is not middle ground.
Also, Christians are those that abide by the bible. I think Jesus was a great guy, but his teachings were also contradictory to the bible.

That's what everyone does. Religious people "know" all the answers. I can actually say I don't "know" but I go where the evidence leads me. My family in super religious. Sister teaches a youth group, marrying a guy thats becoming a pastor, my parents go to church and bible studies all the time.

I came from the religious side but was able to break out of it. So many ignorant people today, Close minded. I actually look for evidence and try to find the truth in things. I don't need to believe that theres a god helping me at every point. If I get a new car it was because of god, if I crash my car its gods plan, if I get run over by a car it's still gods plan. When you pray obviously he hears you. You might as well flip a coin though to see whether its" in his plan" to help you or not. I mean look at job, his life was fucked.

4chan blows, but that is an absolutely logical statement. " it's has absolutely no logical basis behind it."

Talking to somebody who isn't real. Basing your whole life trying to please someone who isn't real I love how christians don't support santa in christmas. Too much competition over the date.

No but seriously. I I quit my job and moved to oregon with my family, all because my magic 8 ball told me, people would think I was crazy. But as long as god tells them too it's perfectly acceptable.

If Jesus IS love... why does he seem to like to kill off his chosen people? The Babylonians killed the Jews, the Egyptians killed the Jews, the Romans killed the Jews, the Nazis killed the Jews, and now the Muslims are killing the Jews.

Or what about this. Why is it that idiot drug addicts and drunk drivers get to live in a car wreck but the husband father of 2 that has only two parking tickets to his name die? Or better yet, God decides to drop the whole fucking roof of the church down on his followers. God is either non-existent or he is an incredibly cruel and asshole of a person. I am gonna go break some more commandments... the Devil sounds like a cooler guy to hang with.

I see the soap boxers at some of the bigger shows. The phish hampton reunion. Get handed pamphlets at at any dead related, phish, widespread shows.

I just think it's funny. Going to the dead shows and standing there handing people all that stuff as if their better people. Some of the stuff is fun too read though, I try and save some of them. Or get a massive stack going and find the most f'ed up people and give them something to read.

Idk. I know every since you were born religion has been drilled into your head. If you question it you were going to hell or a bad person. Everything was set up to mold you in a certain direction. I still don't think it's that hard to break out of it. It's at least possible for everyone. Look at all the wars/conflicts that have been started over religion. Who's god is better than the other god's. We'll all fight to the death and the winners must have the better god. Idk it's pretty ridiculous I think.

I'm not trying to rain on peoples parades. I just feel like if people open their minds a tiny bit, it would be pretty obvious.

4 chan has been around for how long? 10 years at max. probably even more like 5 years. people have been questioning god/jesus/ religion since the begining. so saying that that argument came from 4 chan is pretty dumb.

these arguments are always funny because people get so defensive and pissed off.

True. When people don't know what they're talking about, all they can do is get pissed off. And proving a religion.... well think about it
