Jester upward release

I have a pair of Marker 1200 Free bindings on my beater TMs, and the upward toe mechanism prereleases all the time when I land backseat. Do the Jesters have this same problem? I figured maybe that boot being more parallel with the ski might help, but I don't know.

no upward release. Dont buy them tho they suck. a few bad reviews on here including mine as well as some on tgr including a torn acl

as serious as a torn ACl is, you really can't say that was jesters, you can tear an ACL at any din level on any binding.

which is why im wondering what's so appealing in a binding that costs roughly 2x the amount of a look/rossy, which would satisfy the major portion of those who bought jesters

Short mounting zone, especially compared with the Looks/Rossis

Low swing weight

More level stance

after this weekend i can say i dislike my jesters. I have yet to break them but they pre release alot, I felt alot safer on my fks....should have gone with sth16s....

Ten. . . I realize I could have gone with a lower din binding, but I mean they work perfectly for me so I'm happy.

I love my Jesters. I am about 160 ish pounds though. Also, the toe peice is not completely plastic. Its only a shell over a metal frame. They are a very sturdy binding and can take some pretty crazy landings. I've stomped several cliffs/30 foot tables/bails with them. No complaints.

They were worth every penny, though I got them on sale.

Actually I do have one complaint. I wish they came in the black flavor like the Dukes. White bindings don't really match my 08 Chronics too well.

The Rossi FKS has a really narrow short mounting zone. The PX/Axial 2's have a wider longer mounting zone, but they're pieces of shit so it doesn't matter.

I'll admit that the PX mounting zone is extremely long, but they're the best bindings I've ever used.

Well what other bindings have you used? Honestly I think my old shitty salomon bindings were better then my PX12s, now I have P10s and out of all the bindings Ive used (2 shitty marker ones, 2 salomons that both broke, Look PX12, Look P10) the P10s are the best. Im still looking for some cheap fks to try out also...

Hahaha, exactly. Even some of the K2(Marker) riders are using P18's and FKS (Benchetler, Fujas) and there are a few others.

Honestly, its best to go with the tried and true- pivots and fks all the way.

Bindings will affect the weight of your setup, but I really doubt you'll ever discern a difference in swing weight. That's like saying the weight of your grips affects the swing weight of your poles.

I sold a set of Look P-10s to my buddy for 50 bucks. they were 2 years old, best bindings i've ever had. Im such an idiot...

I skied the Jesters on prophet 90s about 30 days and now have dukes on prophet 100s. both awesome solid bindings. power transfer is so good on the wide skis. if you are not really an aggressive skier or just a park rat then they won't do much for you. they say they have a low swing wieght since the toe pieces are shorter but really it's not that big of a difference.

the wider the ski, the bigger the difference you can feel. I never had a problem of prerelease on either one.

It seems a lot of people on here are complaining about random pre-release on bindings regardless of brand. check your boots and make sure they are clean from caked snow before you click in. that will solve most of your problems
