Jester Pro or FKS?

I love my FKSs and will tell you that they are what you should get. Honestly though in a thread like this you will get 50% agreeing with me and 50% saying Jester Pros. Personally for me I broke several pairs of Marker heel plates because they were plastic, and that is why I switched to the FKS with a metal heel under the boot and have stuck with them since. Also love that I never have to worry about pre-releasing due to the elasticity in the binding. On the downside though if you eject on a switch landing theres like an 80% chance you will fuck your breaks up and have to bend them back. And if you really mess them up its hard to get them fixed which is a downer. Overall though I would say they are great bindings and really worth getting.

literally 100% personal preference. at the performance level of both bindings, it all comes down to what type of feel you enjoy more since both bindings give different ski feel*for park skis*. If this is for powder, technically speaking, Marker is far superior to FKS for power transmission, ease of use, drill hole pattern, etc. Although many people will say that they have never had a problem with FKS on Pow planks.

I don't like the way markers click down. They don't give you that solid clunk, so I never really knew if I was in.....simple fix is just to stomp down hard a couple times. On the bright side I have never had a durability issue with my markers, even though they have a bad track record on NS. (Even though I'm pretty sure most the hate is just a bandwagon)

Realistically if you have to ask NS which 18-din burly-as-fuck binding you should get, you probably don't need either.

That said, FKS. I'm not actually super familiar with the updated Marker stuff but the old Jester Pro was basically a Jester with a fixed AFD and a little bar between the toes. Adding a few bits of metal to a fundamentally plastic binding does not suddenly turn it into an indestructible big-mountain charger like the FKS18.

i would go for the fks 180. they have been around for a while and people love them. the fks might be tad heavier just because it has more metal in it. ive heard the fks 180s are near bombproof

Just get some PX12s OP. They'll go nicely with your Full Tilts and they even come with two pretty neon dildos.

This the best advice so far haha

Do sit skis even use bindings? If so, FKS. I assume ski retention is the major priority for such a device, so get the FKS, crank up the DIN, and never worry about that thing letting go when you don't want it to.

If it's for a sit ski neither of those bindings would be my first choice. Have a look for some s916 steels or some marker m18 race bindings or above.

The metal 900 Salomon is your best choice for a sit ski. It's super easy to pin, and it's bullet proof.

Cheap too.

The hate is not a band wagon, its just more on the lower end markers. I've seen it 3 times where they have easily broken but it was never the expensive one just the squires

Actually very true , and if in case you lose a ski putting it back in pow the fks is a fucking problem because of the heel piece! I agree with this guy on the jester being better on pow

The markers are a lot lighter than the FKS if thats what you are looking at also but it is all down to personal preference to be honest. I use the jester pros and the only problem i've ever had with them is broken brakes.
