Jester or 4frnt

I was looking to buy some used jesters because i love these bindings. (yes i have skied them)

I can get some brand new 4frnt deadbolts 18 din or 16 din for cheaper or same price.

Now my problem is i am mounting them on 189 hellbents, jesters are the lightest 16 din binding so that will help cuz bents are so heavy. 4frnts have more metal and are heavier. Will they be a noticeable amount different?

Jesters are 1000g a pair and 4frnt is about 1270 g a pair. about .75lbs heavier i think.

Should i stick with the jesters or opt for the 4frnt?

deadbolts don't suck, they are actually quick reliable and durable, but Jesters are just as reliable and just as durable, and lighter, so I'd go with Jesters - they're worth the money.

Ya i think i going to stick with the jesters then.

Im going to go check out the 4frnts anyways though. thanks guys

4FRNT makes a good product, they just have a bad rap due to the fact that they use to use VIST bindings up until 07/08 i believe. Very few shops would install them since the jigs were so scarce. Since the switch to Tyrolia, I think things have gotten better but I haven't ridden a pair since 06/07

Well i just found some Sth 16 for a great price. Should i go for those?

I love the design on the jesters toe piece and heel peice. I dont really care for solly heelpieces but its such a good binding for a good price.

Honestly go with your heart. Most high end 16 DIN bindings will all hold your feet to your skis without much difference, you probably wont have a problem with 4 frnt or Jesters or Solly. You don't really need NS to tell you cause your probably going to just get people on your thread arguing over what brand is the best.
