Jesper Tjader best park skier ever

In the unpopular opinions thread I said Jesper Tjader was the best park skier ever and of course I get tons of downvotes with no responses so I wanna know, who’s better than Jesper. From Unrallistic to the Olympics he just straight fucked and is the whackiest most progressive and straight up just the beatbox skier slope style has seen. I understand what Tanner and Candide did but I’m talking skills not accomplishments

EDIT: Thanks to everyone who's actually having a disscussion

Wait did he even land a run in qualifiers at the Olympics?

Best park skier ever is a pretty hard to determine, and he would definitely be a more controversial pick because he doesn't have the comp results. But i would say he is crazy progressive in a non-bunch way. Hes one of my favorites to watch at comps as he always seems to be hitting different lines from everyone else, and his content that he puts out always feels one of a kind.

I think you got a lot of down votes cause not only is he controversial/niche pick but he doesn't have a crowd behind him, but he isn't the go to stylish skier or the go to X games results guy either. He's just progressing the sport in his own unique way which is amazing and definitely an inspiration to people i know.

Lots of down votes in the unpopular opinion thread....surely means it's a popular opinion?

He bobbled on the landing of a dub 16. Exactly what my point is. Progression over accomplishments for him which is pushing the sport so far

Probably will get hate... but I think that Gus Kenworthy is the best PARK skier in the last 10 years. Dollo and Wallish to round that out... but Gus is really really really fucking good when he actually wants to go skiing.

Agreed, I might personally place Tom or Henrik above him in the best park skier of last ten years but idk, he's insanely good. I'm sure you've seen it but if not check his instabanger

I think Jesper definitely has gnarly, unique tricks which makes him stand out...but I don't think he has the style and he skis super short skis which also detracts from his style..to me his like a gymnast skier

Acrobatic endeavours on wood planks in snow will get you $$$ but won’t get you respect

Jesper's skiing has always seemed gimmicky to me, insane feats of acrobatics for sure, but not the best that skiing has to offer

Not sure what you mean here, he kills on rails too.

Real shit:

I think Gus is the best overall park/freeskier in the world. He had the craziest rail tricks both ways like 9 years ago, wins superpipe contests, slope contests, big air contests, he's done insane backcountry jumps, the list goes on

Jesper might be the most insane skier in just the park, but Gus has everyone beat in all combined aspects

Jesper has done some crazy stunts for sure, but if he is that good he should be able to work on his style instead of progressing tricks.

Why? If you want that oh so smooth steezy style there are literally dozens of other skiers to watch. What makes Jesper cool is his tendency to try crazy tricks nobody else is doing, yes sometimes that inculdes future spins but honestly who the fuck cares? The kid is constantly seeing courses differently by skiing unique lines and or doing sketchy rail flips or dub variations, which a kind of style. And how can you say that he has no "style" when he has done what was probably the most laid out dub back ever

In another unpopular opinion i think Oystien Bråten is seriously progressive especially with his rail game. People rule him out as a comp jock but his fast lap edits are sick and some of the runs he lands in xgames etc are insane!

He skis short skis because hes a midget

at the same time?

Hahaha, naw like he doesn't ski looking over his right shoulder. So he throws all his sw right spins as blenders haha, which hes pretty good at, does a bunch of them in his slvsh game vs Oscar .
