Jeremy Bloom in NFL

the reason he stopped playing college was to ski because his contract wouldnt allow him to ski cause he could get hurt n then not be able to play ever again, so they prevented him from skiing, so he stopped playing, and now you say he is drafted to the nfl, the teams wouldnt allow their players to ski so im not sure if he will now or not, i remember last year i forget who but a player got hurt playing basketball, and the team didn't allow him to play for the rest of the year cause it was against his contract, maybe not last year but it was one of the last years
 
5th round pick, so that probably a solid 750k a year. He should prob just stop skiing and focus on football. He got drafted as a punt returner so who knows how long he could last.
 
he wasnt allowed to ski if he played college football because he was receivng money from his sponsors so he quit football
 
yea he's offically done with competing, and im pretty sure he will be signed and possibly be a #2 punt returner or kick returner for the team. he will barely play any wideout.
 
jeremy bloom quit football in college because they wouldn't let him accept any of his ski sponserships, cause they were considered "gifts" or "pay" which an ncaa athlete is not allowed to recieve. So he basically said f- you to the ncaa, and quit so then he could ski.
 
thats cool. i was watching earlier today and was looking for his name but i guess i missed it. i wish him luck in the NFL and hopefully he can still get to ski in the offseason. that would be a pretty sweet deal.
 
^well i know he wont be competing, but like just skiing in general. it would be sick for him if he got picked by the broncos.

He is quoted as saying that he done with skiing and that he will just focus on football from now on.

Dude skiied in the olympics and jumped on a plane that night to make it to the nfl combine, he's a douche. The olympics (to me at least) are much bigger than the NFL, bloom could have won gold if he would of concentrated on skiing this year instead of football. Fuck him, he's just anyother jonny moseley except moseley took gold (and should have taken bronze in 02)

that guy is very talented...good luck to his football career but i must say ...im not sure when he retires if he will be strong enough to ski...football is rough on the body

He will make millions more from football dude. Anyone would take more money over something they love. You are foolish if you don't. Im pretty sure he likes football better, cause he sucked at the olympics cause he had to leave the next day.
 
itll be really hard for him to ski becase they r in the same season...so not only is the contract proly holding him back but if hes practising and travelin i doubt theres any time to ski
 
true, but if the eagles don't make the playoffs he's done by the first weeek in january. even if he takes a month off to relax he could still get a good month or two of skiing in.
 
did anyone watch his interview after the olympic run? he said that hes moving on to football. obviously his pro skiing career is over, its not even up for debate. theres no chance. kind of sad but NFL and olympics? thats a crazy good athlete.
 
he said in a magazine interview that he didn't really like skiing. I don't know about you guys but it pisses me off that someone so good doesn't like what he's doing. It just screams sell-out to me.

let the guy do whatever he wants to. He's already excelled in skiing and is obviously good at football so let him do what he wants. I'm sure if he liked skiing that much he would continue to ski but he DOESNT so let me play football.
 
i dont think hes gunna last long he is WAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYy to small to take hits from the big boys
 
yep, hes on the eagles, the eagles play the cowboys alot. and hes a kick returner. and roy williams is also on special teams for the cowboys. one bad hit from roy and bloom will fucking die
 
it's not like his contract can say "he can't ski" they can't deny his hobby, what about all those athletes that think they can golf...or play in bball charity events....he'll still ski, just not in mogul comps.
 
Actually....on the news tonight they said there would be a clause in his contract that he wouldn't be able to ski. It makes sense really.

And good for him that he got drafted. I had a drunken conversation with his ex-girlfriend last night and she was all "He isn't getting drafted. His life is over. He's gonna be washed up. He sucks now." So good for him, at least in spiting her.
