Jeffrey 102 Sizing

Hello

I’m going to grab a pair of Jeffrey 102s in the upcoming custom sale, unfortunately for me they are no longer making the 166cm :^(

I’m 5’5 (165cm) 115lbs - I need to now decide on 161 or 171 instead. I’m gonna get a softer flex for sure because I’m not that strong and I have only been skiing for 2 years, but I go a lot!!! I’m currently on my first pair of skis which are 156 ARW 96’s and they’re way too small. These will be my all mountain ski… maybe 35% in the park

TDLR do they ride short? Can I get away with a 171?

Depending on what kind of terrain you like to ski i would maybe consider the mango 100s as they are a more forgiving flex. i haven't personally skied the jeffery but from what I have heard you have to drive them pretty hard/ski pretty fast to get the most out of them.

I checked and i actually could custom the mango 100s without the park detune which was something I never considered, I’m mostly just puttering all over my local hill, or S/M jumps, boxes, tubes for now in the park

On3p is coming out with a jeff 100 this season something to take a look at as well. They are going to lower the rocker profile as well. As for skiing them I have had the kartel 98 then Jeff 102 and 108 and 118. I love how they ride not as demanding as everyone makes them to be.

171. They will look and feel a little long at first but once you ride them, you will be confident to ski any and everything well.

I rode Jeffs last szn and in ur case unfortunately no matter what u do theres gonna be some tradeoff. 171’s are gonna feel like slugs in the park, especially if you don’t have that much experience but the other size is gonna be too small for all mountain. If you ski mainly all mountain get the 171’s but 100% get the soft flex.

Also going from 156 they’re gonna feel like BOATS on your feet but you will be able to adapt. Idk what type of skier you are but if you feel like more of a beginner and you’re not ripping crazy fast you might benefit from the shorter ski tbh. Its a tough call for sure without having more info

No nvm I thought about it get the 171’s youll have those skis literally forever if u take care of them 161 might be better in the immediate future but you will eventually regret not sizing up

This is what I’m leaning towards right now, I also just emailed ON3P to see if they’ll have a mango 100 in 166 (optioned with no park detune) in the custom sale
