Jedi vs Wizard Poll

jedi was my immediate thought, but then i thouhgt that being a legit wizard would also be pretty sick, you could do alot of fun shit but i think jedi is way more badass
 
disagree. a harry potter wizard could kill them in an instant from across a field and they couldn't do shit to block it. A lord of the rings wizard would even win in a lightsaber battle against a jedi.
 
a jedi can't just use the force to disarm someone. why would they even need lightsabers against storm troopers then if they could just disarm them all to start.
 
lord of the rings over harry potter for wizards. as an immortal and previously stated demi god he is in a realm above those of normal men... plus its so gritty and realistic theyre powers are alot more free as in harry potter the spells are very structured and stiff. lord of the rings magic is much more open to possibilities... ultimately though jedi. the lightsaber yes, but the simple use of the life energy surrounding all living things and manipulating or encouraging it to work for you is simply amazing. they even have FORESIGHT as to what will happen, look at how they block blaster fire. plus with emotion theyre power grows, blah blah blah code. with training they even exceed normal human limitations.

LOTR OVER HARRY POTTER, JEDI OVER EVERYTHING!!

I'd agree Harry Potter wizards are pussy shit though, and would no doubt end up losing. there's no way Gandalf would lose to anybody though.
 
For anyone saying Gandalf is badass, I agree, BUT he uses his staff a handful of times and none of the "spells" he does do anything substantial. A Jedi would cut him like butter, harry potter wizards would kill him just as easily with a barrage of spells. Gandalfs little sword just wouldn't hold up to these forms of attack.
 
Well on this debate, Emma Watson hands down. Otherwise though, Jedi. Then I wouldn't feel bad getting BAMF tattooed across my biceps that would undoubtedly be bulging with bad-assery.

jedi don't even need lightsabers. everyone thinks that if a jedi can't get close enough to cut with his lightsaber then he'll lose, but he won't. jedi are extremely fast and will dodge most spells or block them with an array of force powers

Forreal? Gandalf is actually a god-like figure sent to middle earth from the "heavens" of the LOTR universe. He's the ultimate badass. He has power like a guide. Dont judge him soley on what u see in the movies he was merely playing the role of a guide... Also he killed a fucking balrog.
 
true dat, but before he was just regular gandalf the gray, not sent by any god. when he killed the balrog he was sent back as gandalf the muthafucking white, and he was made head of the wizarding order, replacing saurumon, and he became the ultimate badass.

depends. would i be an average jedi / wizard, or the world's greatest? cause i think i'd rather be an average wizard than an average jedi. but the world's greatest jedi? the one that can mind control you, and is virtually untouchable because of his extensive knowledge of the force? that i would love..

really? according to what? You can't just make up rules like that. I would be a wizard anyday because they can do everything jedi can plus waaaaaaaaaaaaaaay more. and there are so many more things inthe wizarding world like all of the magical items you can buy in diagon alley like weasley jokes, broomsticks, insane animals, unheard of candies and much more. the possibilities with a wand and creativity are endless. the jedi are limited to some extent.
