Jedi vs harry potter

You all overlooked the fact that harry potter basically cant die while jedis die like 24/7. there is only 1 boy who lived but like a million jedi.

i just no lifed all the star wars movies in two days. i still dont understand how any of you could think a jedi could beat harry potter... harry can attack from a distance, teleport, go invisible...........

Jedi uses the force, knocks 'em over, cuts their head off. Except a jedi wouldn't do that. A Sith would...

Or, they could just force choke them.

Can lightsabers absorb magic? They can absorb sith lightning, among other things... So I am assuming so

The real question is. Dumbledore vs. Gandalf

This has been established many times. Gandalf is essentially a spirit and immortal. Dumbledore is human. Hardly a fair fight; Gandalf wins.

dumbest question ever. you ever see an epic fight scene/passage in harry potter? or a serious display of skill based fucking shit up? no...all the main characters success comes down to mostly lucky circumstances. the few fights scenes there are are totally fucking lame compared to the star wards ones. a jedi could deflect any shitty spell a wizard shoots, do fifty flips towards them and lightsabre chop their head off - and thats without even counting the force.

fwiw i was a big fan of the harry potter books and am pretty indifferent towards star wars but no questions jedi win

Jedi can move fast, but they can't teleport. I've got to hand it to the wizards. Have you seen the shit they can do with those spells? if one of the only rules is that they can't summon food, yet they can kill with two words, I'm pretty sure the wizard would win the battle.

I do like the Jedi better though, don't get me wrong.

You mean the one his stupid ass broke and threw away? Harry Potter never won a battle based on anything other than luck and circumstance.

All he hsa to say is avade kedavra though and the jedi cant do anything. Jedi are more badass, but its unfair because of that.

A jedi would deflect any spell just as easy as they deflect gun shots from droids. Also use the force to get Harry's wand out of his hand and the kid is powerless. No contest

Listen, Harry Potter is a PUSSY. But Darth Vader vs. Voldemort? Voldemort would fuck Vader up...

this.

also, wizards may have instant death spells but they spell still has to hit. its the equivalent of shooting a (laser) gun and jedis are pro at deflecting those via lightsabre

Harry can do wandless spells, read the books u nerd

No, a Jedi never defended magic with a lightsaber. Only every blasts and physical objects. Despite the energy-like spells cast in the movies, I daresay a lightsaber wouldn't be an effective defensive weapon against magic. It's freaking magic. BUT, a Jedi does have the force, which seems to be a more effective way of moving objects, disarming opponents, and foreseeing attacks than Harry Potter's magic. Both Jedis (think Darth Vader vs Han Solo) and Harry Potter (think Harry Potter and the only spell he seemed to know really well) are pretty efficient at disarming enemies, so we'll say those roughly cancel either other out. So after each party has disarmed the other, well, poor Harry Potter doesn't stand much of a chance.

And had Darth Vader not turned on the Emperor, Luke would have surely been killed by him. If that's not winning a battle by luck and circumstance, I don't know what is.

Also, to those arguing that a Jedi would just use the force against Harry, Harry knew occlumency, which would have defended his mind against the force. Apart from that, he was good at throwing off the imperius curse, which seems very similar to jedi mind control, so he would be particularly hard for a jedi to control.

Ahh true I haven't read or watched Harry Potter in a while but I remember that. Doesn't really matter anyway though Yoda would fuck up Harry's shit any day of the week and everybody knows it

yeah Jedi would fuck him up. First, any spell is just energy and the light saber can deflect any energy. So spells are essentially useless against Jedi. Then what the hell is a wizard going to do once he's getting physically hurt by the force? forget the mind tricks, but actually using the force to pin and direct thousands of pounds of rock and shit down on their ass will ruin them. let's not forget any spell against the Jedi can be directed right back.

A shield charm would stop all of that from happening...

The force is stronger than the human grip. A jedi could disarm the wizard in a fraction of a second from a hefty distance.

why couldnt harry just be all avada kadabra and the jedi is dead?

i feel like this would all boil down to who can react faster, both have the ability to kill the other in a fraction of a second.

but jedis are way fucking cooler, if that adds to the discussion at all.

Okay, but that's not what you said. As long as the wizard has his wand, he wouldn't have to worry about the jedi using the force to hurt him.

And, of course, a wizard could also easily disarm a jedi.

I disagree. How can a wizard defend against getting choked? and which Harry Potter spell can protect against a few tons of falling rubble?

and you think expelliarmus would work for a light saber? the jedi could easily block it WITH the light saber. plus he doesn't need a lightsaber to kick some ass.

What would a wizard do against Palpatine's lightning?

Presumably a shield charm would stop a few tons of fall rubble as well as force lightning. Choking, well, that's when nonverbal spells come in handy.

And expelliarmus seems to be one of the spells that cannot be blocked. You either dodge it, or stop the attacked from casting it in the first place. A jedi could dodge the spell, but couldn't block it with his lighsaber the way he could against, say, the stunning spell.

wait when did we decide that lightsabers block spells?

i think harry would have a hard time hitting a jedi with any spell (see yoda vs palpatine)
