In my opinion he is a lot like immortal technique in that he has almost an untouchable flow, but I do not enjoy listening to his music strictly as a result of the subjects he chooses to rap about.
 
educated guy, raping what he feels man, and he has the best flow of any rapper i listen to, he can spit songs for 5 minutes without stoppign his flow once

 
one of the most distinctive voices imo. so raw. flows untouchable. all of AOTP spits, there new album is dropping at the end of the month
 
oh shit new aotp album is gonna be hot... stoop holding down the production still, cant go wrong... and to the OP a discussion of his rhymes, Philly is a hard place as is this little italiano G... can only deal with it sometimes as it can get a little dark for me, need to change with some more uplifting stuff sometimes, but yea when i got visions of gandhi that shit didnt leave me cd played for weeks
 
I agree that he has one of the best if not the best flow out there. Animal rap, Black winter day, and Heavenly divine are all examples of this.
 
one of the best MC's in the game. his subject matter can get overly dark so my favorite joints of his are collabos with other AOTP members. Celph Titled, Apathy 7L & Eso etc..... But Jedi Mind in general is dope.

Hahaha I was listening to him when I clicked this thread...any ways he is an absolute beast on the mic, he has been getting sort of gradually getting more rugged and raw rather than his intelligent smooth flow I grew used to, either way he is one of my all time favorite MC's.
 
yea stoupe is the mother fucking enemy of mankind... ha i cant believe you guys keep mentioning eso and celph, i think besides vinnie, apathy or kamachi are the sickest shit, though thats far off from JMT besides eso, its kinda moved to an aotp topic
 
Celph Titled is my favorite MC. not just Demigodz MC, i mean all together. the shit he says sometimes is just ridic. but apathy has something about him that makes him so ill. ive been listening to him since way back when and seen him live a few times.
 
really celph's your fav? i mean he is good don't get me wrong, he is just too silly for me i think most of the time, i like shit with a message and he just just kinda funny bullshit and guntalk... i dunno, personal opinion i guess... oh and i just got to Spaz OUt on this album, shits fire
 
Nah dawg stoupe doesent produce for AOTP anymore, hes busy working on solo projects, the wiki page shows who produces all the tracks.

I wish stoupe still produced with vinnie though, his new solo album will have no stoupe beats Im pretty sure.

He's insane. Love JMT. My favourites are Silence and I and Death Messiah - the lyrics and beats are great.

 
Even though JMT are one of my favorite hip hop groups, and Violent by Design got me in to hip hop, I don't really feel that Vinny Paz is a particularly good MC. He was sick on Violent By Design, terrible on Visions of Gandhi, pretty fucking good on Legacy of Blood, and has gone downhill since then.
First of all it always makes me laugh when he states some very valid reasons why he hates Christians, then like two lines later will talk about how he is going to kill fags in the name of Allah or some other hypocritical bullshit. It REALLY makes me laugh how often he gets his BRAP BRAP BRAAAAP noises in there. Especially when he does guest tracks, oh man its so funny, BRAP BRAP! "Gee, I wonder who is going to be in this song?"
Stoupe is a fucking incredible DJ though, one of the best in hip hop, and I really think he is the reason JMT are so sick/have been so successful. Army of the Pharaohs are sick too because of Celph Titled and various other dope MC's.
The last two JMT albums were in my opinion not all that good. They certainly had tracks but they weren't as good as their older ones for sure. I really like that song about Hannah Montana on the new one though.
 
^what are you nuts, saying Vinny isn't that good on visions of ghandi, that is up there with my favorite albums... he is straight fire on almost everything he spits on that album
 
That is my favorite JMT album, but its because the beats are so dope. That was Vinny's worst album. But it was Stoupe's best album. I mostly listen for the beats anyway so its my favorite album, either that or Legacy of Blood. Gza and Killah Priest cameos on Legacy are too dope.
I just think his flow and lyrics on that album are kind of mediocre. Still a great album though.
 
Vinny Paz was my favorite rapper for like 20 minutes then I realized his voice was uber annoying
 
hes garbage. im sorry, jedi mind used to seem "cool" because of its controversy and decent instrumentals, but how the hell arent you sick of this? its all the same angry bullshit. theyre the slipnot of rap. every "new" album they release just further proves this repetition and failure
