Jay peak

they have been planning on growing for a while but this may speed it up. At this point they need to add terrain and lifts because the lift lines can get a bit ridiculous on weekends

Look like they have already "turned the ground on a 57-suite hotel project expected to be completed in the winter of 2009"
So much for that small private VT mountain feel, the last of a dying breed.

i read that as the guy who is in charge of Jay now owns a piece of it... and has a bunch of cash for new buildings and reasons for people to go there.... Still going to get 400 inches of snow... still going to have great terrain... Still 15 minutes from my aunt....

I don't really read that as bad.

but... they will be in business... and that's a good thing considering the way things are going

Does anyone know if this is gonna affect 2008/2009 tick prices? I mean, when are they gonna start the construction, i.e., the RAPE of Jay? For $100 mill, they better pour some loot into the park, and hopefully another lift to access some more badass terrain.

Well as long as they jack up the lifts to highspeed, it MAY be able to handle the influx of corporate douchebags from yuppie america.

Jay rules the east.

"Plans include a sister hotel of 120 suites, an indoor water park, a spa

and related recreational facilities along with "a commercial centre,"

he said"

RIP Jay, you were too beautiful for this world.
