I'm going up to J this year and was wondering if anyone has ridin any of their massive glade system. also any word on the Beyond Beaver Pond area...how easy that is to get back out of?

 
my friend went up to jay on vacation and he said the treeskiing was amazing. his dad was skiing and some guy flew out of the trees and broke my friends dads nose and there was blood everywhere for like 2 days

yeah if you ever go to jay, find a local. they kno the best spots...but you have to be really nice because if you want awesum skiing, you have to suck dick to get it.

beaver pond it get outtable, just make sure you ski with other ppl and stay to the right.

tree skiing is crazy! 2 years ago ther was a tree rail in beaver pond but a boarder knocked it down.

there are several un named tree trails that no one really knows about that me and some of my frinends kno aboot

theyre sick tho....fuck hard as heelll to find.

just follow the canadians your first few visits till you get a feel for it. If your with boarders, and you;re not an asshole, I wouldn;t recommend beaver pond and beyond.

 
Just make sure you have a Car parked down there or be faced with a walk in the cold. I'm not a fan of that lugging gear around, but hey its up to you.

unless it's a holiday, just stay inbounds. jay has an open woods policy, which means that, if you can see it, you can ski it. lots of good lines through that will dump you out on to a trail...... and none are marked, except for a few. just ride in a group, obviously.

yup shelli knows how it is up there... all i ski is jay im too poor to go anywhere else... but ya jay has the best glades in the east and the best ones are the ones only us locals know!!! can't tell ya those it's out little secret stash of pow pow!!!

i ski jay all winter long...enter the woods anywhere and enjoy it...its like nothing else on the east...send me a message before you go up and ill rip it up with ya

If anyone can help a UVM freshman out occasionally with rides to Jay I would appreciate it. I just got a pass and found a couple kids with cars to give me rides up to the mountain, but I'm sure there will be days I won't be able to find a ride. So if anyone can help me out, I will chip in for gas and whatnot. Anyway, should be a sick season.

yeah, their park is quite sick as well. not many people care too much though; i go to jay to drop cliffs and ski trees.

the woods at Jay are easily the best woods I have skied. They get so much snow. Lots of people ski them. The key is to go just out of bounds, it seems like people are afraid to ski there because they might get in trouble, so it itsn't skied off. Just stay close to the line, or you might get lost in the woods.

 
I went to Jay two years ago, it so nice. I spent every run in beaver pond or beyond beaver pond. or on face chutes and tuckermans chutes. Beyond bever is really to get to just go down the run like your going to beaver pond and get in as high as possible in the run. Then go straight back until you reach the park boundry then ski right next to it or even out of bounds a few hundred feet just dont lost people have died on Jay. I found a nice 25 foot straight cliff out there so much fun . If you stay near the boundry line there a green trail that goes all the way to the boundry that will take you back to the lift. See if you can find that cliff though there was a downed tree off it when i went and you could grind it it was nice.
