JAY PEAK 54 - 60" !!!

why does jay get so much more i dont get it ? the bush and stowe report 4 ft and jay gets a foot more always it seems?

Jay gets more snow sometimes because of the way the mountain is shaped. If you go to the backside there would be less. When storms pass east of Jay the winds are coming out of the north north east the clouds are pushed up by the backside of the mountain then dump all over the side where trails are cut because the now colder air cant hold as much moisture as warmer air. 5 feet is a huge amount of snow, I thought the storm was supposed to be heavyest further south....guess not we only got about 6-7 inches in western mass

Never thought I'd say this after moving to Utah, but I'm way jealous of the East right now. i'm stoked for you guys. Go rip it.

I dont know if thats a legit number cause its pretty much impossible to measure with all the fucking wind...which ruined the day...fuck wind!!

Holy fuck...left coast redemption. Wish i was there...but I've never been further east than Chicago.

went today, it kinda sucks. The wind has been blowing so hard that all the snow is wind packed. There is no where near 54 inches. Its about 2 feet of crusty heavy shit. Dam wind!!!!

yeah pretty much all of it will be untouched because the only lift was the beginner lift and all the hiking tracks will be filled in by snow but all the pow is going to be windpacked except where it is sheltered.

Weak, we got 100 inches on christmas and had a 71" powder day, it was so intense, a guy died.

I ment to say one christmas, and yeah some guy went of like a 30ft cliff at bridger, and lost a ski on take off and dove head first into the snow, and no one found him for a day, and he suffocated. Pretty fucked up.

we did ski the woods, so wind blown and so slow. Deffinatly wouldnt call it powder. I dont think u kids realize what happens to snow when it gets blown by the wind.

Everything will be untouched tomarrow but the snow is deffiantly not fresh.

i was at (?) today and it we only had 25 inches, but it seemed like alot more. ive got mojo 90s and id be skiing along and if it wasnt speed enough i lost all speed and sank to the bottom, and with the previous base, it was offen waste deep and wicked hard to get out of. it got really windy in the afternoon and fucked up the snow, but with another foot, it would be epic.

and beaver pond would suck, that trail flattens out way too much and iwht 50 inches plus u wouldnt move at all, which would be very disapointing

yeah i was there too and at some point we stopped completely coz we had waist deep powder, my pole couldnt touch anything solid

the wind was pretty horribly cold but the skiing was the best i had in a while
