we go barefootin' (water skiing) at night all the time. just toss a glow stick inside the wetsuit so the boat can find you after you either crash or drop. it's kind of crazy not being able to see whats coming....there could be shit floating in the water that would break your heels, or waves that will swallow your toes. either of which would ultimately result in getting owned. but I don't think it's anything that's super special. so i'm not really impressed about him doing it in the dark, but he gets mad props for being able to ride a wave that fucking enormous. i'm sure there are a lot of others that could do it, he was just the first one dumb enough to get at it. sometimes the fun decisions aren't the smartest ones!

I dunno whats more dangerous jaws during the day or at night. at least at night you don't have to deal with the crowds and everybody jockeying for position.
