i saw it, i thought it was gone when it left the bat. it was pretty nice to see a good start to a new era of redsox
 
good to see that at least jason bay is being productive but no one will ever replace manny. manny is the biggest balla to ever play the sport of baseball!! he will always have a special place in my heart all homo
 
fo real. now that he will actually have players on base to drive in, his rbi number is gonna blast off. and plus, who saw his nasty catch in left? manny wouldnt have made it, and we woulda lost the game. he also played the wall really well for his first game, holding that 1 guy to a single, and hes only gonna get better. im pumped to see what this guy can do
 
underrated? i dont know about thiat. if anything hes overrated. he was absolutely terrible last year and is very inconsistant. who knows maybe he keeps it up this year but i wouldnt count on this production for years to come.
 
i was thikning the same, and also we coulda got so much for for that trade, shit was so bogus how much we gave up

thats overrated? jason bay is in NO WAY a big name int he mlb, and those are some pretty impressive numbers. sure he had an offseason last year, but dont be suprised by 35 hr 100 rbi seasons witht he sox consistently. def underrated
 
hahahahahaha!!!111!! sorry but im from pittsburgh and a diehard pirates fan. bay is probably the most average baseball player to ever live. his batting is decent, but his fielding is very sub-par. yeah, that sliding catch last night was pretty rad, but for every rad play, he shits the bed on 4 more easy catches.

as for being bigtime for the red sox, i agree. everyone sucks for the pirates, then gets traded away and kicks ass later. i hate loving the pirates
 
yeah, but manny, although he was amazing, his heart was set on leaving the sox. he was wicked lazy and had no emotion for the game. i was at his last game and he just didnt care about anything. and bay did have a good first game, but well see if he can keep it up..
 
obviously he is not gonna be a s good a hitter as Manny but i feel the they could have gotten a better deal
 
fuck you redsox fans, the pirates just lost two of their best players, bay and xavier nady to the yankees. the pirates are now completly fucked cause we lost all of are good players.

manny was a huge loss for you guys. Even when he doesn't try at all hes still better than bay will ever be. Your gunna regret it.
