All of the japan segments ive seen in the ski films this year look super sick. Espicially the night skiing in pow. Has anyone skied there? If so how is it. Seems like a great place to travel to to experience the culture and the skiing.

I havnt it seen it, ill have to check it out. The segments in such is life, claim(i think) and reasons(i think) are sick. Also EP and nimbus has an all japan webisode that is sweet.

I live in Niseko, where Believe/Nimbus was filmed, and its fucking sick. It snowed everyday for about 3 weeks until today, so much pow. The terrain isn't that crazy though, some cool pillows and hits, but nothing scary. Def worth a visit though!

It's been the ebst palce i've ever skiied, went to Niseko around 3 or 4 weeks ago, snowed everyday, powder everywhere...but it's usually tracked out by midday, if you're a park rat, it's not the place to go...teh back country is quite cool and tree skking is a must.

The night life is great as well, we either hang out in teh town or took teh night bus to kutchan, food is exquisite and Seikomart is the one stop shop for lunch

am defs going to niseko again, but spending more time their....chilly ass place as well, you'll freeze if you don't wear less then 2 layers, really windy up top most days, but when it clears up you've got the best ski experience..second to none

I couldn't agree more. I went to Niseko around New Year's time and it was amazing. While many people who come here complain about the Aussies, they are not a problem.

If you are thinking of going there and have the time, plan to go for at least three weeks. Also, if you have the funds, check out some other parts of Japan. If you have any questions about Japan, PM me.

Yeah, Seikomart is the best, but there are rumors that it might be sold and torn down to make way for a condo building.
