Japan in march and early april

Anyone know whats its like over there at that time of year? and any tips on where to stay and what to do? im looking at planning a trip for 08 and a bit of feedback from people who have been there would be greatly appreciated

i went to japan in jan last year and heading back this year the same time. you should be fine in march cause the season only starts in jan, ohh yeah sswwwooo much powder (compared to AUS anyway) and you can ski 8am to 9pm every day. i stayed in niseko (probs spelt it wrong) which is near sapporo, and almost everyone there was aussie
 
if i end up at a college with trimesters im going to head out next march, it just seems like an experience you cant pass up,
