Japan grabs.....so lame/OVER RATED

so yeah i pretty much think they are the easiest, and ugliest grabs. but everyone has a bonner for them.

Well, you spelled boner wrong.

And what video's have you been watching? Sammy, TJ, and tons of other people are tweaking the shit out of their japans, and I'd rather watch that than watching mutes and truck drivers all day.

I'd probably agree if the only one that I had ever seen was done by you, but

have you ever seen Tanner do them? Have you seen Sammy doing them this year? Christ if I could do them like Sammy did during the X-Games.. I don't think I'd ever do a different grab again.

I like sammys alot but they are just to used these days, also who cares how you spell shit in threads this isnt English class

we should take away grabs completly. go back to our roots and do crazy aerial shit all over the mountain like onto rails and shit. then, when one person does a japan grab well kill him because well all have guns instead of poles

i see where you're comin from. Some, like sammys, look good, but I agree that they look like shit with, for example, Jon's rodeos and kangflips....not coool

i think japans look nice with rodeos or lincolns. sometimes i like seeing japans because i get tired of seeing skis crossed up in every trick

^yeah or when people do them as double grabs, like mute to japan. I understand that is is mad hard to do grab combos, and i am not hating, i thought newschoolers was about discussing different peoples opinions of skiing in order to get different perspectives. i am not telling people to not do them, just saying that i dont like japans

the most over rated grab is the mute grab. way too many people do them with every trick.

most overrated= mute

easiest= safety

japans have so many different tweaks and every skier does them a little different, i dont think they look bad or that they have gotten old

I agree that they look bad with flips and flatspins and those types of tricks, but with a stylie 5 or something kinda corked, mmmmmmm, they look tasty.
So fun to do as well.

if you think that japan grabs are over rated, then you don't understand skiing air manuevers. the japan is an essential position, a crucial accessory to flatspins and rodeos. also, the japan grab is particularly useful in switch cork 5's and 7's

japans are so sick, like if u can hold them really long, or do them with double grabs and stuff and tweak them, i love em.

i agree that they are over used but they really look sick with cork 5's and 7's. its just 1's,3's and rodeos that people over use them in.
