Hey kids!
a bunch of friends and i are thinking of skipping out on the EC and spending our winter break in Tahoe.
the issue is, blackout dates are killing me. so i was thinking of getting the alpine college pass, and the northstar double whammy pass. That way i can ski at northstar and alpine, and then whenever those are blacked out (which is like 6 or seven of the days i would be out there) i would ride Sierra.
My question is, what is sierra like? there park seems decent, but what about trees and pow and scthuff?

Sierra is awesome, the park is always pretty fun, and the powder and trees and everything else are awesome, you just need to know were to look.

It's a hike to get from the Truckee area down to where Sierra is.

i just moved back to tahoe so i havent been able to hit this up yet, but yeah sierra is where i grew up, like jason said its awesome, park is super fun and you will not regret your break here

I didn't literally mean you have to hike, but it is a shitty drive.

The Council of Elders for Lake Tahoe or whoever they are basically decided that they don't want anyone to go between north and south shore easily.
