Jamie Pierre In Whistler

I guess Jamie heard about all the snow in Whistler and decided to show up to drop some shit. Rumour has it today he did air Jordan and he gapped the first drop going bigger then anyone is history of air jordan. Jamie said he felt good about the drop but said he overrotated on the landing and instead of landing on his back he landed on his head. He says he has a bit of a head ache but he will be back up later this week droping bombs.

So wait. He didn't even land in the middle you're saying? How is that possible? Don't you need a bunch of speed for that?

i saw jamie tonight at buffalo bills, he did get towed in by a sled and gapped the first stage of jordan.. he says he usually leans back during takeoff so that he can land perfectly on his back, but he underestimated the amount of time that he would be in the air and ended up on his head! he had two black eyes from the concussion it was wack...

Agreed. It definitely takes balls to huck 100+ ft cliffs but he's so un steezy.

I'd prefer to watch someone land a 30 footer clean than watch pierre huck 100ft and take a minute to dig himself out of his bomb hole.

wait you guys are ripping on this guy because he's not steezy enough for you when he drops a 100 footer? dude its a 100 feet

that is what i was thinking. but maybe he could throw in a saftey or japan or something to make it look cool.

I personally don't give a shit how "easy" it may or may not be to drop 100+ ft. cliffs. All I know is that Jamie Pierre is a professional skier who spends his time skiing and getting paid for it, not bashing professional skiers on the internet. If taking big hits is so easy, why aren't all of you shittalkers out there doing it?

so he goes about knowing he has no chance whatsoever of landing it and is plain trying to land on his back... while i guess thats what he has to do to not die, it's kinda, well... hmm. kinda takes away from the feat.

BUT, did he exagerate the stomping motion? i bet his eyes were immediately drawn to the rocks there. that mustve been why he did it. in either case... definitely a pretty exxxxtreme skier dudes.

He'll be an idiot the day he fucks himself up. Until then, he's smart and calculating about his drops. How else could he still be alive? How many times can people just call it luck?

He's damn good.

But from what I've seen of him, I think he is actually a pretty good technical skier. Like despite his random 100 foot hucks he has pulled off some crazy lines in his career.

true, but how many other people go and try the stuff he does.

yea he often does not land stuff,

but i dont see anyone else attemting it.

and there is plenty of skiers with access to the terrain.

im sure he's a great skier, but really, hucking a 100 like a potato takes huge balls, skill, and determination, but it doesn't do it for me, its impressive but I find it too stupid. So if I see him i might chuck a snowball in the back of his head.

dude he totally wasn't on jolly green giant... that shit is way to easy for ross... he was ripping his own run that intrawest gave him "Ross's Gold"... that dope blue right under solarcoaster

he is way more calculated and technical than half of you guys give him credit for. What if the only footage you ever saw of scott hibbert was his crash segment in that random PBP movie? What would you think of him? I think people like painting the picture that he is a huckstar. He does crazy shit around alta all the time that you wouldnt even look at, let alone try yourself.

I think he does his job well. Film athletes jobs are to entertain us, you can't tell me you don't get at least a little bit excited when seeing a new Pierre segment, you know your in store for more than just your everyday "Steezy cork 3's and 7's in some random park somewhere" I feel like most peoples segments look the same but there are a few skiers out there who put out something entertaining every single year. I think most of them do it for us as much as themselves. But whatever...

actually, Ross Rebligati isn't retired, I saw him giving out shots of vodka in the liquor store not to long ago wearing his GOld Medal,
