Jam?

I have no official say in this, but considering the guns are practically shitting snow right now and they're going to make tons of snow tonight, and (judging by the forecast) will probably make snow the rest of the week, it's looking promising.

^but i suspect since pns is n a valley and it will be couldy it will b cool. also another cold front is moving our way midday tomorow and calling for fluries.

actually when it is cloudy during the night, the clouds just kind of act like a blanket, so then it stays a lil warmer. but when the skies are clear at night, then thats when it gets really chilly.

wow epic fail on my part. but on the other hand snow was made until my lunchtime so good job snowmaking crew

It's happening people

That's right. The Movie Night at Perfect North Slopes has been converted into a Rail Jam and Movie Night. Here's your details!

Rail Jam - 4pm

Movies - 6:30pm

Showing:

Reasons

That's It, That's All

Anticipation

Food will be available for purchase. It will be $5 to get on the snow, a waiver will be required, and Helmets are required. The set-up for the rails is yet to be determined, but we're looking into 30' Flat Box, 40' 6" snowmaking pipe, Tower box, Smaller round rail, and maybe a barrel bonk, those are just what we're considering we really don't know how much snow we'll have or what is feasable. The event will be a Hike Only event, there won't be a chairlift. For more info... just ask.

Hope to see you!

so sick u guys r having a jam. too bad i wont be able to make it. please tell me there will be another one the following weekend

just want to clarify. do we have to pay if we have a pass? on the website it says no but here it says yes

DO NOT quote me on this but i am pretty sure if you have a pass then you do not have to pay.
But it is just a fun shred jam to get you pumped for the season, not a comp.

So Tad, are you guys going to make snow tonight?

Also it looks like from the WCPO cam that theres a little pile of snow or something like that but I think its an illusion

That is correct if you have a pass you will not be required to pay the $5. So we'll have pizza for sale likely and we'll probably do fries or something, after the jam.
I don't currently have a waiver available online, but i will do my best to get it online tomorrow. Please have your parents sign and bring it in if they aren't planning on bring you down to fill it out at the time. If you're over 18 no need.

That's right Shaggy...

So we just got done pushing around some snow for our Pre-Season Rail Jam tomorrow, and we're looking pretty great! We have a ton of snow and they are cranking it out as i type this. With tonights good and low temps we should have even more goodness for tomorrow. We've got a drop-in shelf built and once we get this new stuff piled up we should have a sick little rail shelf that will house 4 rails and then we'll have probably 2 barrel bonks and maybe some little jibby boxes. For those of you at Paoli or Snowtrails, Mad River or maybe even BMBW, just this rail jam should be worth it, for some pre-season sliding, but if that isn't enough surely, That's It, That's All, Reasons, Anticipation, and maybe even Love.Life.End will more than make your mind up.

Saturday Nov. 22nd

4:00pm ~ 6:30pm Rail Jam (no comp.)

6:30pm - Love.Life.End.

7:00pm - Reasons

8:00pm - That's It, That's All

9:15pm - Anticipation

$5 to slide in the Jam

Helmets Required

Free to just watch the movies

Food and Drink will be available for purchase.

Hope to see you all there!

So i know the flow wasn't perfect because everyone was kinda skipping the pipe and were congregating near the take offs of some of the features, and the Bomb holes got crazy bad really quickly, but all in all what did everyone think of the set-up? Was it more than expected? Did you enjoy your first day on the snow? Did you stick around for That's it That's all? AMAZING I don't snowboard as much as i ski, but i'm buying that movie! Unreal, i wish i had a PS3 and i'd buy the BluRay version. I say an edit already, which is very cool. I'm hoping we can throw a podcast together from the footy we got.

Tad I had an incredible time. Sure, the flow wasn't the best, but hey, we were skiing on NOVEMBER 22ND! That's just incredible. Mad props to the snowmaking crew and the park crew, really, just being out there and getting to hit SOMETHING was the best treat I could ask for at this time of year. The set up was WAY more than I expected, the launch-box type thing was damned fun. As for That's it That's All... holy shit. Incredible cinematography, and fantastic riding. I don't snowboard, and only have once ever, but I was blown away by that movie. Unbelievable.

My verdict?

The event was a total hit.

You know I had a ton of fun.. I already told you ha.. but I thought it was sick first day. Ya the holes got real bad but I mean thats what you gotta expect when the whole park is hitting 5 rails.. (not counting the S.) but the people that were skipping the pipe were just stupid because that rail was fun as hell.. My only complaint is through out the year I would like to see that rail much higher.. Theres gotta be at least another foot between the rail and the snow.. I kept hitting my tails or tips on the snow and it kicked me off early.

i agree with evan. the bomb holes blew but what you gunna do about it. as for a first timer in the park i felt the vibe was good and that everyone was having a good time. the rails were awsome (although i crashed most of the time) and i had a very good time.

We've got some good ideas for the pipe, and now that its been out there we kinda know what to do with it, so no worries, I'm sure it will be out in plenty of different forms throughout the season.

good deal.. my two cents - I would like to either see the 30 round bar as a down bar and the 40 pipe onto of a deck or vice versa..

the event totally exceeded my expectations. i thought we were gonna be hiking a few rails at the bottom of audition... then showed up and saw the lift running and flipped the fuck out.

even tho i had to wait on route one behind a wreck for i dunno how long... and didnt get out there till 5:30, i still got a good number of runs and it was the best night ive had in 9 months thats for sure. thanks for extending the time till 7.

i stayed and watched the movie too... the cinematography was rather impressive i must say. would have liked to see a little more park and urban in that film but i enjoted it nonethelesss. oh and im stoked as fuck on my copy of anticipation.

i love you all.

oh ya.. forgot about that part as well! I was extra pumped when I learned it was till 7

Event was SOOO much fun, awsome job!! A++++... Lift was the best gift we could ask for i was so shocked to see that

Anyways here is QueenCity Productions First edit of the year from the jam, already heard some dislike of the music choice, sorry next time we will try something else but tell me what ya think of it!

it was amazing, fantastic job, to ski that early is always perfect, thats it thats all was amzing aswell. and i also enjoyed anticipation after the jam
