The guy that holds the world record is a Kiwi. He did a 200+ footer in New Zealand. He a stupid nutcase though. There was less the 1.5' fresh (a big pow day in NZ) and yeah he had foam in his backpack.

He stuck it (as much as you can on a drop that big).

Ruptured his spleen though!

This is what the Guinness Book of Records has to say:

It is estimated that the human body reaches 99% of its low-level terminal velocity after falling 573m 1880ft which takes 13-14 sec. This is 117-125mph at normal atmospheric pressure and in a random posture.

Now add the wind resistance of skiis and you near a terminal velocity at around 500m. So once they drop 1500ft's its all the same. A little ways to go though.

thatcliff with pierre doing the 360 is like 60-70 feet or so, maybe more or less. seth in ski movie 3 does that rodeo attempt off that 80+- cliff, so much much bigger, like 3 times bigger
