Hey guys, I currently film with a Canon hf10I plan on upgrading to the Panasonic HMC40 within the next 1.5 years.
I am looking into buying a 35mm DOF adapter and have taken a liking to the Jag35E (vibrating).I am almost a 100% sure that this will fit onto my hf10 without any problems, but i will also want to use it when i get my HMC. Will it fit onto an HMC or will i have to look into buying the jag35xl? and will that on fit onto an hf10?
i believe the hf10 has a 37mm thread if that helps
Thanks,Reed

Buying a 35mm adapter is one of my greatest regrets in terms of camera gear. They're really heavy, and complicate filming a lot. I really suggest renting/borrowing one and shooting with it for a day before you make your decision. The end result is cool, but i don' t think it's worth it personally.
As far as will it work with both cameras? most likely. If you do end up purchasing one, just keep in mind the following: I don't know much about the Jag35 as I use a Letus Extreme, but Letus makes several different models, The Letus Mini is targeted towards smaller cameras such as yours and will not work with big cameras such as the HMC, but the Letus Extreme/ultimate/elite, are all for larger cameras, but of course would also work on a smaller camera assuming you have the right stepup/down rings.

^besides it being heavy, why do you regret it
the jag35 is fairly inexpensive and i can get the whole setup for about $360
i can see it being a pain, but i think that it will last me a while (assuming it will work with the hmc) and will be a good investment
anyone else?

Yea i know, but what confused me was that on the JAG website, the cameras they show in the picture with the jag35xl are the dvx and the xha1, which are a similar size to the hmc right?
