one thing's for sure, it will be an entirely new format for a skiing contest.

hype?

judging by what he threw down in big air and his reaction to the contest, I'm gona go ahead and say this is gonna be sick.

Why?

I don't get the hate. He is such a nice, laid-back guy. Not cocky at all. I mean, did you see his MSP seg this year? The dude slayed so hard.

I get it, he's a cool guy, awesome at skiing, has a chill girlfriend and lives the life, what a dick.

and right before that he said

"kinda not too excited on where slopestyle skiing is headed..."

This contest is going to be fucking hype man.

it's probably because he's so vocal about his opinion. for people that don't know him, he could come off as quite dickish. just guessing on that one, but it's probably the reason.

Is it because he did a zero spin on the shitty big air jump at X Games? Or is it just that he's better than you at skiing?

I like him because he's not afraid to speak his mind. He made it really clear that he hated the X Games jump, then backed that up with a bunch of stylie tricks. I'm excited to see what kind of contest he brings to the table.

Sounds sick. Jacob has a lot of great ideas about how to judge and different formats. I remember he did a blog post a year or two ago with some ideas and they seemed really out of the box and sick. Stoked to see what comes of this.

I don't enjoy his humor. I don't find him funny at all whenever he tries to be. That's all. Everyone has a skier or two they dislike, just so happens mine is Wester. That's all.

I remember a post he made where he mentioned the idea of making a comp like street league skateboarding. It could be sick and I will like it cos its Jacob.

I bet the comp would be sick and I really hope this will go off. Wester slayed it at X games ( sort of ) and he would probably make a better comp than Jon

Jacob is tight. He has done a lot for skiing you could say. He help design the Alpha 1 right? His part in Attack of La Nina was so good. I loved that switch dub 9 on the Alyeska jump

I just read that his comp is now official on a swedish skiwebsite. It´s supposed to be held between the 2:nd and 4:th of April and is called Trick Bag Challenge. He said in an interview that it will be simmular to Steet leuage

always been a fan of his, would be dope if jon's people helped with this to make it a new joss style event

just read the article, and the comp sounds dope as fuck.

i'm too lazy to translate the whole thing, but this is the concept in short:

7 jumps on a big kicker, every run counts. 7 runs on a selection of rail features, every run count. creativity is scored higher.

you probably know him personally but from a my point of view ive never seen one pro skier complain so much how his ski life.

the comments Jacob made that called out jon brogan a few years ago were pretty ridiculous, but he is undeniably a great skier, this comp could have some potential.

Well his was definitely sick and he went deeper than Jacob did, but Jacob did his first. AND, Jacob did a cork 9, switch 7, and a zero spin BEFORE he qualified for the next round. Then he did a dub 12 and fell trying a switch dub 10. Jossi did his as a celebration cause he was already moving into the next round.

Overall, Jacob's was more badass cause he's, well, Jacob.
