Jackson Wyoming 17/18 Winter Season

Hey guys,

I landed a job as a ski lift op at jackson hole this winter season and am living in the newly built powderhorn employee housing. I don't know anybody who lives out there at the moment so I'm just wondering if anyone else on here may be doing the same as myself and/or any information given to me from people who have spent previous seasons or are currently living in jackson about the area before I head out there would be greatly appreciated

Super nice actually. You get your own room and share a common space and bathroom with 3 others. My brother shared a closet sized room with 2 others at sun valley. Generally employee housing at ski resorts is pretty shit so I'm pretty stoked considering. $650/mo all expenses included

This is all I ask for my housing these days. I can’t share a room for long term these days. Maybe I should apply for Jackson hole next year.

Should be mandatory imo. But if you're going to I suggest applying very early, like as soon as they list the application early because the housing is very limited.
 
Welcome to town boss! 5$ breaky and lunch at sweet cheeks meats, get an account at the liquor store next to Albertson’s and natty lights and pbr are the cheapest you can find in town, 1$ pbr and half price wings at local for happy hour, Smith’s has the cheapest groceries, as an employ you get 1$ drinks at nick Wilson’s everyday from 4-5, the lift has great happy hour and cheap food for happy hour....ummmmm

All solid info. Except fyi theres a boycott at nick wilsons because they fucked witht the mug club. Skimped us on the annual dinner. Raised prices a dollar on everything. An ipa draft is 5.50 up from $4. Bloodys and margs no longer for well drink prices. No deals. They wont rehire 7 friends of mine for various offenses... Jake andy andy josh jenna lyla and scotty all were great bartenders. And they put up a stupid wall to separate the bar from the dining area. Dear jerry— tear down this wall! I’m drunk

Nice that’s typically my favorite time of the first half of the jhmr season. Usually a decent base by then. Patrol leaves areas like the hobacks and lower faces and saratoga bowl all closed til xmas so the tourists think theyre getting freshly opened terrain. So that week before is a poachers paradise. Don’t ruin it for the rest of us
