So I'm planning on taking a trip to Jackson this year, but I need to know when would be the best time to go. I want pow. Help me.

i went in the end of march last season and got 2 feet of fresh over night it was epic, jackson gets a lot of snow, they were at 625 on the season, that place is sweet you'll have an awesome time
 
late february to early march is great, i've been there before, and to me, it is the best place i have ever skied
 
im gonna be riding in march. thers not much pow then but I'm more for spring skiing/park, which is usually not very great until after january. I'm gonna be ther with like 2 other guys so if anyone wants to meet up thad be sick
 
i prefer spring but late Jan/Feb are the best times for good snow. and i was there the big year at its peak it was mind blowing.
 
late february or early march are usually good. Of course, you can have bad luck like I did and be there for the 5 days it doesn't snow.
 
Seriously? Every pic in your profile is your dumb ass doing a cheesy trick on a rail. Also for the record us big boys call it POW, pow pow is some shit a baby would say. I'm guessing you have no clue if EJ can ski POW. Anyways, 2 guys ahead of me already said it EJ, Jan-Mar gets the best snow at Jackson, just watch those local weather reports around the time you leave.
 
if you watch his edit you will see that he has no clue how to ski powder.

and i beleave when someone called him out on it he said

"dude i can ski pow i have cr's"

so i guess if i buy a pair of powder skis i am automatically good at skiing powder.
 
I agree that Jan and Feb is better for quality of snow and the later you are you run the risk of melt/freeze cycle. But IMO the month of march has more moisture in the air thus creating for ''bigger" dumps.

But you're right, splitting hairs.
 
I have seen his edit and I'm familiar with the 4FRNT CR conversation. However even if he is the worst POW skier ever wouldn't it be great to get better at a resort like Jackson Hole? Quit being a negative shitdick and bombing other people's threads with the manure you call a post.
 
jackson is a dangerous resort if you saw my first post i quoted the guy who know someone who died there.

i dont think it would be the best place for a kid to ski who isnt very experienced.
