come to jackson around jan or feb, thats when all the good snow will be around, try to get some weather predictions like a month ahead(on weather.com or something) and come when they think its gonna snow. As for cheap places to stay, there is a mountside best western, not sure how much, but if u want really cheap, back like 9 miles in the town of jackson hole, there is a motel 6 thats 39 bucks a night haha, thats about all i know, its a sick ass mountain

yeah stay in the town of Jackson. Motel 6 will probably be the cheapest. Think there's a ski hostel around snow king resort which is also in the town, but not sure.

if you don't drink (well just don't show up stinking of booze) there is a homeless shelter downtown that will let you stay for free for a max of 7 days, plus to get a hot breakfeast and diner, you just have to do dishes. I know it sounds pretty low but hey it is winter in Jackson Hole there isn't exactly a line at the door to get in. It is run by a various local churches so the people are really nice

jacksons snow conditions are pretty crazy, every time i leave it snows, but the motel 6 is a good idea, the start bus goes about 2 blocks away and goes up there early good way to save some money
