Jackson Bathgate - FJWT

fuck that was dope, commentary just as dope. too bad the snow was pretty shitty tho.

Super stoked for Jackson. After watching all those guys for the last few years I am not surprised at all about what went down.

Nigel Ziegler might have been my favourite though. So clean.

That was insane, I don't know how they judge these comps but I think that run was way gnarlier than the first place run.

They're judged first and foremost based on line score. Essentially how hard you're line is. Then they base style, fluidity, technique and control off of the line score.

It's pretty damn fair. You may have a gnarly run, but if you stop, look bad in the air or just plane can't bend a ski, you can't do well.

The FJWT is judged using the FWT criteria. You described the IFSA crit. They are judged using overall impression which considers the factors you listed but favors wow factor a lot more.

Super sick run. I would guess he was scored less because of the back drag off the big hit and then because of a less technical line/ exposure a tiny bit. The small pause above the big hit might have docked him a bit but i would call it smart skiing.
