J skis

I’ve heard some pretty good things about the hotshot. J makes pretty high quality skis and jlev knows what he’s doing so i doubt you would hate them

read some more reviews and stuff before you buy though

I have The Friends which are like a fatter version of the Hotshots and I really enjoy ripping them everywhere. I feel they do ski a wee bit short so if you are on the fence about size I’d say don’t be afraid to size up.

You can always hit them up too they have great customer service.

I have the old metals and they are extremely fun and still going strong after 100+ days of thrashing. Def ski (and measure) a bit short. J is super responsive tho just reach out

I had some allplays and they are pretty durable. I used them in the park all of last season and only have a couple edge cracks on each ski

I felt the hotshots were a great ski to ride until there was more than about 4 inches of Snow on the ground. I had the big version but I'm a bigger guy and they just didn't give me the float I wanted in powder and I was always worrying about punching front on landings into soft snow. As an all mountain ski, they are a ton of fun. Super responsive, very intuitive, and they carve a nice arc. I wrote a review on them too which you can find here

Ive have had whipits (J if your reading this, please bring back a small offering of whipits annually!) and allplays. Very well built and durable. Customer service team is very responsive as well. Small team that gets shit done. They also seem to adjust the product based on feedback. In 2013 the edges originally were a full wrap design and would separate at the tip and tail. This receives the most energy when you skis are slapping down from a landing thus causing it to separate. The next year the design was updated. I believe similar enhancements have been made across the board to their skis. Theyre solid plus you get that added bonus of limited edition graphics. Even though there are many of the same exact j ski out there, the different graphics make it especially cool when you see someone with the same pair. I would buy j skis again but faction just keeps sending me skis on warranty even when i clearly tell them i know im out of the warranty period lol.

great and durable, good shapes and flex for the most part. some of the thinner skis like the allplay and whipit are a little twiggy and noodly for me but i'm a bit taller than some. vacation 186 is my favorite although i skied 181 friends as a park ski for 2 or 3 years

Yeah, OP - apparently they’re made by some guy named J.

I had no idea it was spelled “Saran”.

I cannot possibly hate on J skis enough. You may as well make skis out of Saran Wrap and plywood
